What patients say on Google
“I am leaving this review after significant reflection, because mental health care is too important to stay silent about. I was an established patient and had a routine medication management appointment scheduled, the typical brief check in. The day before my appointment, I was contacted and told my payment would not go through. I explained clearly that I would have the funds the day of the appointment, just not the day before, and asked if I could pay then. I was told no, that if I did not pay immediately, I would not be seen, and that I would also be charged a $50 fee the following day. I was not allowed to attend my appointment, despite communicating openly and despite the fact that this was mental health care, not a missed haircut or optional service. The next day, I paid the $50 fee as instructed. However, the experience left me deeply disappointed and uncomfortable. Mental health patients are often navigating financial stress, instability, and vulnerability. A rigid, punitive payment policy, especially one enforced before services are even rendered, communicates that money matters more than patient care. I chose not to return, not because of the fee itself, but because of how the situation was handled. Compassion, flexibility, and basic human understanding should be foundational in mental health care. When those are absent, trust is broken. I hope this practice reflects seriously on whether its policies align with the mission of helping people, not just billing them.”
“Wonderful, been with this provider for years and the service is nothing less than exceptional. They really care about their patients and make you feel seen and heard. The office staff are professional and courteous; you can set up billing online to make payments easily and they will message you to remind you of appointments so you have time to reschedule if needed.”
“I just want to take a minute to write Crystal a RAVING review!! What a treasure!! She has such a sweet personality and is so helpful. I'm looking forward to my upcoming appointment. Already off to a fantastic start! :) Great job”
“Kingwood Psychiatry is a wonderful practice. I’ve been with my provider for many years. I’m diagnosed, bipolar, and when I get into a crisis situation, my provider is always there to help me through and manage my medicine. If I’m not able to use the portal, I can always call the office staff to assist me in contacting my provider. I would highly recommend Kingwood Psychiatry to any psych. Patient requiring medication to manage their illness.”
