What patients say on Google
“Not a pleasant experience. Only done over zoom. I felt like it was a joke. Not only did she play with her hair the entire time. She didn't even look me in my eyes. You might have better luck talking it out with your dog!”
“I was a patient of Kelsey Kingsborough for about a year and a half. In general, I found the experience of care to be very apathetic. Like most psychatrists, the focus of the visit is on a chemcial solution, and at the start, we worked well in striving toward that goal. However, I recieved a letter of termination of care without any reasoning or reasources to find another doctor, stating that I had 30 days of medication they would order for me before refusing to grant care going forward. I called the office several times and recieved no answer (not uncommon. The recepetionist is often not at the desk to answer calls), and wrote a letter to the office asking for a reference to another docotr, or a reasoning for why care was dropped. Natrurally, she is allowed to terminate care with any patient she finds unworkable, but I cant for the life of me, figure out what the incifting incident was. There was never any conflict between us or the staff, and no agressive or incendiary language was ever used. All I could think was that I lost my insurance and missed my last appt, but could never get confirmation. So this leaves me in a situation where this doctor had gotten me on the cycle of stimulants and anti-psychotics, and offered zero help on where to continue finding those medications going forward, essentially condeming her patient to immedate withdrawl when the medications run out. The sticking point for me, the thing that justifies the one star review in my mind, is the total apathy and lack of communcation from both Kelsey Kingsborough, and the staff of the practice as a whole. While human and deserving of grace, there needs to be a higher standard for patient conflict resolution than wiping your hands of someone and abandonding them without reason, cause, or recourse. If you value consistency, communication, reliablity, and honesty, then you are better off just not getting your medicine then getting it here.”
“Wish I would’ve found her YEARS AGO!!! Her knowledge alone is TOP NOTCH! Having someone to talk to about the hardest things and the most intimate things in your life is so important. Having someone like her who is easy to talk to, understanding, doesn’t judge and GENUINELY cares and wants to help is just unheard of! She’s hands down the best I have struggled with mental health since a child and all I can say is i am so thankful I found her now!! If you want someone who will listen without judgement, has so much knowledge about different medications options and the sincere support and willingness to help you be the best version of yourself look no more! I can promise you will feel what I feel! She is unmatched I wish more healthcare professionals were like her, they could learn a thing or two or three 😉 from her! Forever thankful for finding her and on the journey to being the best me I can be for myself and those I love!”
“I am highly impressed with Kelsey and her office. I have a long history of dealing with depression with new onset postpartum depression. My husband called numerous practitioners and clinics to try to find me help, and Kelsey’s office was one of the few that got back to us quickly, understood the severity of the condition, and so kindly allowed me to be seen same-day. I’ve had multiple psychiatrists in the past, and getting help that quickly is usually unheard of. Kelsey is knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough, offering a variety of options for treatment. After being told in the past that I’d exhausted most medication options, it was a breath of fresh air to be told that there are many other therapies and medications available that I haven’t yet tried. This visit gave me a tremendous amount of hope, and I will absolutely recommend Kelsey to anyone I know looking for a psychiatrist/psych NP.”
