“i went to hexel as a 16 year old KID, i told her all my symptoms she asked me what meds i wanna be on. i told her about my hallucinations she brushed it off as it was nothing. she didn’t try to figure out what was wrong with me she just kept putting me on random meds. i’ve been on 20 meds in the last year and it completely destroyed my memory, because she kept guessing. she is not experienced, and i had asked her 2 months into seeing her that i want a gene test because nobody could figure out what was wrong with me because meds would not do anything. she said it doesn’t work or do anything. the last time i saw her i did a gene test , turns out my body didn’t take to meds and wouldn’t absorb them. i had to do that on my own, i had to find out what was wrong with me because she wouldn’t. i had to find my own therapist and have a PROFESSIONAL figure out what was wrong. i was 2 minutes away from my appointment and she told me i couldn’t come, and dropped me. i now have no meds and am still looking for a psychiatrist. i will NEVER recommend anybody to hexel. she is very inexperienced and really only cares about the money.”

“Dr. Hecksel has been amazing with my son. We transferred to her from his PCP who had him on an medication he didn’t need. I feel like Dr. Hecksel really listens to our concerns and she is very thorough!!!!”

“I had to wait a month to get a referral from my daughters regular pcp. Then another month to get the appt. I didnt have much choice in the wait since Dr Hecksel is the only local child psychiatrist. Unfortunately because of my daughter's sickness she was hospitalized and I had to cancel that appt. Waiting another month out to be seen. We were seen and the doctor was well reimbursed for this visit. Made our next appointment. I had to reschedule due to training at my job. I rescheduled on a date I thought my husband could bring her in. Well he had surgery and wasn't cleared to drive, called to reschedule again. The office called me and said Dr Heskell chose to drop my daughter as a patient because her schedule didnt work with ours.We are a family with jobs and commitments. I have missed a lot of work due to my daughter's sickness. I am doing everything I can do to get her where she needs to be. My daughter cant control the fact that i had to reschedule. I rescheduled 2 x ahead of the apptointments. I never canceled. To cancel my daughter as a patient, this wouldn't be appropriate for a hairdresser let alone someone in the child psychology field. They are supposed to be in business's for the welfare of the child. Unapproriate, and uncaring. I wouldn't recommend this doctor at all. She is in it for status maybe, money possibly but surely not for the welfare of the children.”
