“As a former EMT and patient advocate, I am concerned about persistent communication and follow-through issues at this office. Multiple reviews show a similar pattern. Over a six-month period, I was unable to obtain a medication for which my insurer had approved coverage. After four months of inaction, I became actively involved. Through my own efforts and extensive phone calls, I confirmed the approval but discovered Kalamazoo TMS had not submitted the required documentation. I then coordinated with my insurance company’s care coordinator and pharmacist—both of whom were fully supportive and ready to facilitate the process—but the office would not engage with them or complete the necessary paperwork. Despite repeated requests, the office would not accept calls from my care coordinator or otherwise collaborate to resolve billing and authorization steps. Meanwhile I continued to be charged for services over six months, totaling thousands of dollars, without the office taking the basic administrative actions required to obtain my medication. The medication was delivered to their facility without their assistance and remains unused due to the lack of follow-through. I was called Friday May 1st by Kalamazoo TMS. They specifically told me they had final approval and we were good to go. Come Monday the 3rd, I was told they did not have approval yet. I have worked with four insurance representatives and invested significant time and effort to resolve this. The barrier has consistently been the clinic’s failure to communicate and complete essential tasks. I expected a more responsive and accountable practice. This will your standard of care should you choose this place for treatment.”

“I have nothing but positive things to say about my TMS treatment. Being this was my 2nd round of treatment, I had no hesitation about anything. The results were so good that I wanted to do it again. I knew I would be so much better for taking the time to complete the process again. Dr. Tareen and her staff are amazing. They are always looking for ways to help the patient and at the same time making the patient understand that they are being well cared for. Kayla worked hard with my insurance to see that it was covered. If anyone out there is considering this treatment, I say definitely do it. You will be back to your old self soon. I was devastated to hear that Kayla wasn't brought back after her hospital stay. She was amazing at running the TMS side of things. I went through it twice. Not only was she a wiz at insurance, she made sure every patient was in it to win it. I don't know how many times she reached out to me to make sure I was doing what I was taught but also truly cared. Not keeping her on your staff is a huge mistake.
