What patients say on Google

“This has been the very worst doctor’s appointments I have ever had. After reading about the doctor’s “compassion,” I made my appointment as a new patient. I had 3 issues I wanted to ask the doctor. The first issue was my back pain; she stepped out of the room and got me a brochure for someone else. She was ready to walk out again, when my husband asked her about my 2nd issue and she told me to take an NSAID. Lastly, she told me to continue on my old regime of medicine, which wasn’t working. Total doctor time 3 minutes and a waste of my time.”

“Unfortunately, I cannot comment on this doctor's skillset because I have yet to be seen. My original appointment was scheduled back in October 2024, I have now been rescheduled twice due to "fixing her schedule." I’ve been informed that the earliest available date is now February 18, over a month from the second reschedule. At this point, I am seriously reconsidering whether I want to proceed with this provider. Rescheduling twice due to internal scheduling conflicts, with such significant delays, reflects poor customer service and a lack of consideration for patients. This experience raises concerns about the quality of care I might expect moving forward.”

“My 1st 2 appts w/ Dr. Kajal Shah were really great. I'd been having terrible pain in my hands, burning & aching.. I still have it, however she ran tests, told me I had severe carpal tunnel, gave me braces for both hands/wrists, told me we would try these for 3 months, but I would probably need surgery. However on my 3rd appt everything changed, Dr. Shah noticed in my file that I was in recovery (6 yrs now) & her attitude completely changed.. she only focused on me being on gabapentin & her wanting me off of it. So much so that my last appt was my 1st time seeing her in 8 months, she was in the room w/ me herself for under 50 seconds. My appt before this she claimed she didn't want me on gabapentin because it would mk me fat, I already am fat so whatever to that but I have lost 30+ lbs since then, yet still in her 47 seconds her focus was I want you off of the gabapentin. I don't over use this medication (or any I'm prescribed for that matter), I actually don't take the full amount prescribed to me which is good because she wouldn't call in the prescription until I came bk in to see her. Though in my 12/2023 appt she said she'd see me in Nov... I was prescribed pain meds, put myself in recovery because of things doctors gave me, yet I get judged by this Dr who doesn't ask, doesn't bother to treat someone who trusts her with their care w/ any amount of grace or dignity... I've walked out of her office in tears the past 3 times... just be cautious with what's in your past, apparently, before you choose to get care through this particular neurologist. I really wish it was different.”

“I started seeing Dr. Shah recently for migraines & she is the first doctor to address why I am getting headaches instead of throwing another pain medication at me. She explained things in detail even though she had a full waiting room. Her no nonsense approach is great for people that do not want to take time off for multiple appointments to figure things out.”
