How likely are you to recommend Journey Psychiatry & Behavioral Health Pediatric & Family Center?
What patients say on Google
“I’ve been dealing with a billing issue with them for about five days now. They claimed the billing issue was entirely my fault. They charged a few hundred dollars to my card on file with no notification other than a receipt. I knew that the claims needed to be rebilled. I called and left two messages. Eventually, the next day, somebody reached back out and told me what I needed to do. I provided them the information they needed. This was Thursday. I was told that once they had the information they needed it should be a relatively quick process for me to get my money back. I called for an update Friday. Nothing. Left voicemails for the biller. Nothing. Left another voicemail this morning for the biller. No answer. I’ve spoken to people a few times at the front desk that say oh yeah, we’ll forward this to the biller. We will send an email. Nothing. Out of all the times, I’ve tried to call. I’ve only spoken to this woman once. For her to tell me that I needed to set up a profile on Headway. Then I did it Same day. That was Thursday. Nobody has called me back to tell me anything. It shouldn’t be this hard to call and get something resolved. Or maybe that’s because rebuilding my claim is at the bottom of the list since they’ve already been paid by me. Doesn’t really matter whether I get my money back or not. I hoped that by writing this review, I might get a phone call back so I can get my refund”
“I had a great experience with Journey Psychiatry. The team was professional, welcoming, and really took the time to listen and understand my concerns. The provider was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients. I’m very grateful for the support and would highly recommend Journey Psychiatry to anyone looking for compassionate, quality mental health care.”
“My nurse practitioner was excellent, but I ran into a frustrating experience due to an insurance mix-up. An appointment was canceled abruptly over a small $75 balance, despite being a long-time, reliable patient who has always made payments on time. When I called back, provided the correct insurance information, and was ready to resolve the issue, they still insisted on the outstanding balance and denied me the care I needed. I was deeply offended by their decision to cancel my appointment for such a minor amount, especially given the years I've been a loyal patient. Mental health care isn't just about the individual receiving treatment; it ripples out to affect their entire community. By refusing to accommodate my appointment in what turned out to be an insurance misunderstanding, I felt they demonstrated a lack of ethics and compassion. If they'd allowed me to proceed with the session, I would have gladly paid in full afterward. This short-sighted policy revealed to me that perhaps the practice prioritizes money over genuine care, operating more like a pill-dispensing machine than a patient-centered mental health provider..”
“Sarah was an absolutely wonderful. I'm very sad to have to change providers for insurance purposes as she exhibits such exceptional professionalism and compassion with her patients. I felt very well considered by both her and the responses of the support staff. Thank you so much for everything to Sarah and the rest of the highly recommended team at Journey!”
