“One could judge their experience in an office, or the behaviors of a person rather than the man himself, couldn't they? Wouldn't that be more fair, more honest and more accurate? I think so. As to my own experience, I can confirm that THE EXPERIENCE was completely "atypical"! Atypical in the sense that Dr. Daken took time, thought (and felt) deeply, used both knowledge and intuition, made sure to establish a bond of trust, and did not use false pretenses or fakery in working with me. Of course, that is "odd" behavior, isn't it? It's odd that someone may actually care for their patients and not necessarily put "efficiency" or self aggrandizing first. Given how much I value my own mental health and health in general considering it's probably the most precious gift I have, I will return here because I feel safe here.”

“Do not waste your money, time or sanity with Dr. Daken. After the first session I was actually impressed. He had done a thorough initial evaluation with all sorts of questionnaires. He proceeded to ask me why I was on such a high dosage of a Abilify. I sincerely said I didn’t know and so he lowered it. My symptoms instantly got worse. Depression was rearing its ugly head again. The second session I explain these symptoms to Dr. Daken and he agrees that I should go back to my original dosage. Fine. I don’t expect a doctor to be a magician. Third session however he then asks me AGAIN “why are you on so much Abilify?” I was floored. He repeated the same questionnaires and then proceeded to tell me that my “depression was 50% better and my anxiety was 25% better…” He also claims to work with addiction. This is FALSE. I expressed my sincere concerns with my cannabis usage with him during the initial evaluation. I told him how I wanted to quit and he gave me zero advice. By the third session I told him that my medical card had expired to which he said “I don’t prescribe.” Fine. Then help me!! He gave me no support and didn’t point me in the direction of help either. He could have just been honest and upfront about not knowing anything about addiction.”
