“I don’t write reviews that often, but Dr. Jesenia Cruz is truly deserving of one. She has been my primary care physician since 2013 and I followed her to Buffalo Medical Group from her previous medical group. She is the reason I stay at BMG. I’m very particular about the doctors I see. I am a very medically complex patient and I’ve been ignored/gaslighted enough times by other doctors. Trusting medical doctors doesn’t come easy and isn’t something that develops after one visit. It’s built from consistent positive patient experiences. I have been consistently impressed by her compassion, patience while listening to my concerns and genuine dedication to helping others. Her willingness to listen and explain things clearly reflects professional excellence and remarkable empathy. She combines medical knowledge with kindness, understanding and sincere concern for her patients well being. FYI. I love it that she doesn’t always have to have her medical coat on. Simply, but it says a lot I think. Sometimes the medical system can cause patients to feel as if they are just a number. Sometimes medical practices get so large that the availability of a doctor decreases (by no fault of the doctor) and attention is often limited. No matter how many patients Dr. Cruz has I always feel like I’m the only one, and that’s pretty special and sadly rare. She personally calls (when needed) to talk about/review a recent office visit, issue or concern. Before I had a hysterectomy (for medical reasons) she called to make sure I was educated on other treatment options and to make sure I understood what that surgery truly meant and what if I were to meet someone and wanted to have kids in the future. Her emotional comfort and reassurance is always welcomed. Thank You Dr. Cruz, you have been an integral part of my medical team that essentially keeps me alive. I am sincerely grateful for everything you do. EVERY interaction I’ve had with you has showed me that you truly care.”

“Punctual, thoughtful and thorough. Dr. Cruz has been my primary for over a decade. Dr. Cruz can be a little curt, at times, when she is very busy... but who isn't? Highly experienced Primary Physicians have huge patient loads. The new BMG location in South Lockport is excellent! It is not nearly as busy as the Essjay locations.”
