“I saw Jennifer several years ago, during an election cycle. She made it very clear that I could talk to her about my political anxiety -- except that it was very clear, from the way she brought it up, that our views were not aligned. I don't think it's right for a therapist to impose their own political views in a session, and it made me very uncomfortable to continue seeing her. I also didn't appreciate the way I was pressured into a final session, which was a total waste of time, after clearly stating I would prefer to end our sessions. I hope her professionalism has improved.”

She’s good at pinpointing the main cause and giving out recommendations on what to do to help. She’s never once gotten mad at me for not listening to her advice or for anything I’ve done. She’s never threatened to call my parents, she has to under certain circumstances but as long as you don’t have a plan to hurt yourself or someone, everything will be confidential. She’s very good with LGBTQ+ issues but she’s also amazing at regular therapy. If you’re looking for a gender therapist in Michigan, she might just be your best option.”
