How likely are you to recommend Jennifer Michelle Schenck, LLC?
What patients say on Google
“Jennifer quite literally saved my life. She’s an amazing provider and person. We can talk about anything, and she takes more time out of her schedule than anyone else I’ve ever seen to truly listen to me. I’ve been with her for a little over two years now. She gave me tough love at first, but in hindsight it was exactly what I needed to overcome years of trauma and misdiagnosis and ultimately move forward in life. 10/10 always recommend!!”
“All I can say is Jennifer Schenck has been nothing but a lifesaver! I’ve been with her for about 2 years now and she has been nothing but supportive, non-judgmental, very concerned about my mental health and things that I was dealing with. I feel completely safe to be honest, open and transparent and appreciated all of her feedback. The questions she asked would always help me to understand myself or a situation so much better. No matter the time, I’ve never felt rushed, dismissed or ignored - I’ve actually felt valuable and never had a question or answer go unanswered UNLESS if she wanted me to see if I could find the answer to the question myself, which always helped me to grow. I would recommend Jennifer Schenck 1,000 times because your mental health will be her priority!”
“Should have trusted the low rating. Forms say recording & AI are optional and will not exclude you from care to decline. "I do not consent to the use of an Al transcription tool to record or transcribe my therapy sessions. I understand this will not affect the quality of my care." And for Consent to Record Audio - "VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION" were false options. Not allowed to decline when I actually got there. Even called in advance worried and the woman on the phone made it sound like we could work something out with some optional forms but Jennifer said that I had no choice. So 0/5 not recommended. They need to fix their false documents. They should honestly get in trouble for pressuring people like this. Very bad business considering most people who come for mental health issues aren't as firm about standing their ground.”
“After the initial visit I scheduled a follow up visit which, due to my work schedule was made as a phone appointment. At the end of the phone appointment another follow up appointment was made. Bear in mind we were finishing a phone appointment and had this phone appointment due to my work schedule, which was discussed at the initial appointment, hence the reason for a phone appointment. The date of the follow up appointment comes it’s scheduled for 9am. I sit and wait by the phone and receive no call. I waited until 10 before I went to bed, (rotating 12 hr shifts and was doing 6p-6am at that time). I get up for work in the afternoon and call their office to let them know what happened when I learned I was scheduled for an office visit. Explained everything to the receptionist, made another appointment, making it perfectly clear this was to be a phone appointment to avoid further confusion. Later I received a bill for a missed appointment. Being that it wasn’t a missed appointment, as I did what I did for our last appointment. I waited by the phone. I called the office to dispute the charge. The receptionist took my information and said she’d bring it to Ms Schencks attention. A couple more phone appointments go by, and after each one I sent a check for my co-pay immediately after hanging up the phone and all seemed to be resolved. Until I get a bill in February. I thought that was weird being that all the the checks were cashed so I know I was up to date but when I open it, there’s a charge for a missed appointment. Again I called the office and spoke to the receptionist and explained the situation. Again she’d bring it to Ms Schencks attention. But this time I received a return call within an hour or so telling me Ms Schenck is going to keep the charge in place. As wrong as I believe that is due to the fact it was a miscommunication and not a missed appointment that sends the message to me that this is not a place of clear communication, and if it’s not clear, it’s your fault and you must pay. In no way does it send a, “We’re here for you” message. It’s more of a “I’m just here for the money” message. I think any reasonable person could see where the confusion was. I think any reasonable person would agree neither party was at fault, or both parties were at fault for the miscommunication. I also think any reasonable person would take responsibility for their part in the miscommunication and not expect the other party to be penalized alone. Needless to say I have canceled all future appointments with Ms Scheneck. It seems to me mental health is not the priority here. It’s all about $$ I’m fine with paying for a service that I receive. Paying for a miscommunication between two parties, not so much. Just my experience. You do you.”
