What patients say on Google
“Dr Mensah and his team have been instrumental in my mental health. As someone who has struggled for years it is such a relief to finally be on a positive path! Thank you Dr Mensah and team for being so supportive and attentive!”
“I’m incredibly grateful for the care I’ve received from Dr. Mensah and Dr. Elammari. They took the time to l review treatment plans that hadn’t worked for me in the past and approached my care with patience, insight, and collaboration. The medication plan was and has been genuinely successful. I can honestly say I’m in the best “place” I’ve been mentally in six years. Their expertise and attentiveness have made a meaningful difference/change in my life. I highly recommend Dr. Mensah’s office.”
“I would definitely NOT recommend seeing Dr. Mensah. Seeing a psychiatrist is not something that one does for fun. I needed help with a problem that was seriously bothering me. I saw him 3 times. He prescribed me something that did not work well. We talked about it at my last appointment, and he said he would talk to another one of my doctors to figure out something to help that could work alongside my other medications. I only had enough of my current one, which was only helping a tiny bit to last a few more days. I asked him to please do so quickly because of that fact, and he said he would. Well, 2 days later, I had heard nothing, so I called and left a message. The next day, I still had heard nothing back from him or his office, so I called AGAIN and left another message. As others here have said, you can never get anyone to actually answer the phone. No one still called me back. I was out of my meds and in serious need of them. He evidently had better things to do than care about his patients. Three days later, I still had heard nothing and had an appointment with the doctor that he was supposed to confer with about me, and they had heard NOTHING from him either. You know you would really like for your doctor to at least PRETEND to care about your welfare. Well, not here. Don't even expect that much. If you need help, find someone who cares.”
“We have struggled with timely refills since we began using this practice over 2 years ago. Their phone system never works. I’m always forced to leave work and go in person to resolve refill issues. Last week after taking off work and my child missing school we arrived to be told “the NP quit and we called everyone to reschedule.” We never got a call obviously but was assured meds would be called in. Over a week later they were not. Then I get an attitude from the unprofessional office staff. I’ll never understand the incompetence of the nursing staff and inconsistencies with the practitioners. As a psych practice they should know the importance of NEVER abruptly stopping these medications yet every month my child is forced to go a week or more with no medication. When the nurse CHOSE to have an open conversation in the lobby in front of other patients with me today other patients stated they are dealing with the same issues. That’s so sad. I filed a complaint with the State of Texas in hopes this does not continue to happen to other children or patients. If you are wanting compassionate, quality, consistent mental health care please stay away from Dr. Mensah’s practice!!”
