“I want to leave zero stars— BELOW ZERO stars but this is the least google will allow me to do. First off, this practice was allegedly under new management for about a year or so now and although under prior leadership there were hiccups— this new management is just aa awful, if not WORSE. I’m STILL WAITING for a call back from the office manager to go over me being under a different psychologists care... approaching the one month mark since I’ve gotten the return call… (I don’t think I’ll hear from her). Dr. Ruiz is NOT the person who will make you feel like you stand a chance in the world with any sort of neurodivergent mind. She herself Is forgetful, drops the ball when it came to My health and the approach was beyond nonchalant. When I spoke up about it, the reluctance with taking any sort of ownership or accountability was severely lacking and she threw the director and practice under the bus to cover herself. Also, when I FINALLY spoke up to her about my experience and how unhappy I’ve been with her and the practice, she was very surprised and taken aback by how I was feeling and speaking— but even that was enough to expose her truest nature to me. Very narcissistic to continuously drop the ball as a medical professional and then gaslight the patient when their patience has expired and they are not ready to settle for mediocrity when it comes to their health— ESPECIALLY, their mental health. Zero professionalism with a massive Napoleon complex. The kids on the phone are just that— kids… (I’m sure they’re adults on paper but the work ethic is that of a child doing an after school/ summer job). After my last and final harsh experience with Dr. Ruiz (going on almost a month ago), I immediately called back the main office number requesting to speak with office manager to discuss having a different psychologist oversee my case— and after speaking with some kid— NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. With all my complaints to Dr. Ruiz, her response was “if you have a problem, write a letter to the director of the clinic” LOL, very very telling. I was going to write a letter and publicize it via google and yelp so at least it wouldn’t go unnoticed— like it would at the practice. Bottom line, save your copay money and DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE and stay far away from Dr. Ruiz if you value your mental health and want better for yourselves. Perhaps this one star will go to the woman who periodically answers the phone she’s got an Islamic name and has always been somewhat helpful and delightful to talk to on the phone— always correcting the mistakes of others in the office. They will cancel your appointment and should you happen to see it in the portal, then you’ll be made aware— otherwise, they literally state cancellation reason: patient, which is NOT TRUE— they are just so unorganized and unprofessional. A real life nightmare. In hindsight, I think not having any association with this practice is possibly the greatest thing for my mental health because the chaos that stemmed from every monthly appointment (prior, during and post) left me feeling drained, anxious, overwhelmed and stressed on a MONTHLY BASIS due to the negligence of Dr. Ruiz and the support staff at this place. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION, BYPASS THIS JOKE OF A MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC— COMPLETELY.”

“Holy cow if I can give negative I will, for starters I been with them for 4 years, and as a hypochondriac is hard for me to seek help as trust is a huge issue in life, unfortunately this hospital proved me right. I was assigned DR Rose Michels and even though she’s a sweet lady, she was permanently medicating me with no therapy. We would speak once in a blue and the questions would be are you feeling okay? Are you suicidal? How’s your anxiety? Pass that she would just say here 40-80mg of Fluoxetine and it was the same rinse and repeat pattern for those years. One day I tried to get my meds and was told that my case has been abruptly stop, now imagine that being given a medication for years to just stop because and I quote “we have not communication since July 2023 mind you this entire time I’m getting my meds in and out and when I tried to explain to the doctor she put the blame on me. There was never a MyChart notification never a call to my emergency contact and that I would have to restart the process over again. It’s so sad and shows why ppl decide to self Medicate or worst! Please retire Dr michels your past your time and your not motivated you feed me pills for years only to have someone told to stop cold turkey is insane and insensitive, I hate to be this person but your messing with my life and my mental state. Please do your research and get your self someone more credible and not someone with low reviews I blame myself but it cannot excuse the medical treatment I got. It’s disgusting”

I’m still waiting for you guys to answer the med sys ambulance reviews, and what really happened to me and why I’m the name is JESUS CHRIST I was in your hospital because I’m here reading my records and it’s not very accurate at all so let’s go back and let’s really tell the tale of what happened to Jamil Jimenez at Jamaica Hospital AND HOW YOU PEOPLE COVERED IT UP AND STILL ARE COVERING IT UP TO THIS EVERY DAY BUT HAVE A SIGN THAT SAYS IT’S ONE OF THE NUMBER ONE HOSPITALS TOP HUNDRED!! 100 where??? Because me and the whole neighborhood no not to go to Jamaica Hospital if you don’t wanna die and get it covered up.”
