What patients say on Google

“I was sent there by my dr and walked in not expecting much but I was treated with respect and understanding to my sickness. They did drug me but with my consent to help me with my symptoms. The sad thing is that u spent Thanksgiving in there but I came out with more understanding to what it is that I have. Very good place to go if you really do need help.”

“I walked in hopeful but walked out feeling let down and misunderstood. The cold shoulder at the front desk wasn't just annoying—it hurt. They are literally the first people you see when you've finally worked up the guts to ask for help. That vulnerable moment deserves some basic human kindness, not attitude. The actual therapy experience? Felt like I was just another face in the crowd. I opened up about my deepest stuff only to realize nobody was really listening or remembering what I said. And don't get me started on how they kept switching my meds around without proper follow-up—it wasn't just unprofessional, it was scary as hell, like they were just throwing different pills at me to see what might stick. Look, I know enough about therapy to understand that trust and consistency are super important for actually getting better. So I was crushed when all those resources they promised, Never Materialized The whole experience left me feeling worse, not better. To my Bronx neighbors thinking about getting help: I totally get how much courage it takes to reach out. Please know you deserve better than this—even if it means hopping on a train to find someone who actually gives a damn about your progress. Your mental health journey is worth that extra effort. And if anyone working there happens to read this: I'm not just venting to be a jerk. I'm genuinely disappointed and hoping things change. The mental health situation in our neighborhood is rough enough without half-hearted care. Remember why you got into this field in the first place. People's lives and wellbeing are literally in your hands. If this doesn't change I hope this institution closes ASAP. Not surprised with the 2 star rating and will be advocating for more people to rate and complain until it does change.”

“Not like the reviews, I had a positive experience and all doctors are very patient and considerate. The outpatient and inpatient program has so many good people that do care to see you get better.”

“I had a great experience at Jacobi, they have good food and service. I was particularly treated well by a Nurse named Rick. Who was very Kind and attentive. Much Love and appreciation to all who participated in my care.”
