How likely are you to recommend J. Stephen Rich, MD?
What patients say on Google
“Everything has gone perfectly on my visits to Dr. Rich. I had a bad experience with my former Psychiatrist, and I really checked Dr. Rich out prior to seeing him. He has received accolades and awards from major medical institutions; and that made me feel even more comfortable. His staff are kind and accommodating. Dr Rich does an extraordinary job explaining his thoughts regarding my case. He discusses my options and has created a plan which has increased my joy and happiness tremendously. I highly recommend Dr. Rich. If you decide to see Dr. Rich, you will not be disappointed in your care.”
“Dr. Rich is an extraordinary psychiatrist!!! I had a wonderful experience in his office; he made me feel like he empathized, and he showed immense compassion regarding my problems. He doesn't just write prescriptions, he listens, and then he formulates a plan of therapy. Dr. Rich is heaven sent!!!”
“I’d like to say it was helpful because he was recommended. His receptionist responded to my voicemail while I was at work. She asked if I needed medication to treat whatever I am dealing with. I said I don’t know. This was my first time acknowledging I had a problem and reaching out for therapy. She mentioned the last name of someone else I could call, but couldn’t send me info (I wasn’t able to write it down at work). I guess you just need to know whether you want medication to treat whatever is the problem before you call? I honestly don’t know.”
“Do you want someone who will stick with you should you have any side effects due to your medication? Then do not go to Dr. Rich. My boyfriend started to experience some commonly know side effects of his medication. On the recommendation of Dr. Rich, we went to the ER to get him checked out. My boyfriend made a follow up appointment with Dr. Rich for the following week. At his appointment, Dr. Rich basically told him he can no longer help him, gave him refills on his meds, a list of recommendations, and said good luck. My boyfriend had been going to him for over 3 years. Instead of helping and finding a solution to the issue, he washed his hands of the whole situation. Not super professional if you ask me. He is still having side effects and now has added stress of finding a new psych that can hopefully reverse what Dr. Rich did. Do not go to Dr. Rich.”
