“Went to the ER for a hand laceration today... great experience. I was in and out in less than 1.5 hours, and got 6 stitches with no pain. All the nurses/physicians were nice, and joked around with me... much better expirience than some of the reviews would indicate.”

“Had hip surgery here, care was decent. However, I had a hard time tying my gown in the surgery prep unit. When I asked the nurse with help she replied they would be ripping the gown up over my head in a few minutes. Not true and not funny, quite angering. The rest of my care was decent. Why is there nurses like this in this day and age?is it the perceived authority RAYLENE?”

“I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here for a bandaid. In November my uncle had a heart attack, after receiving nitroglycerin and continuous blood pressure monitoring he was told to “breathe through his chest pain” by his “doctor.” He thankfully left against medical advice and went to a real hospital in State College, where he was diagnosed with a heart attack and had actual treatment. Upon signing his AMA discharge paperwork his nurse told him he was making the correct decision because if he stayed at JC Blair he would die. Now my mother is in the hospital after being diagnosed with a suspected serious and potentially deadly bone infection, her “doctor” told her she was going to be discharged after a single dose of antibiotics, zero x-rays or MRIs done on the affected area. The “care” being provided at this facility is going to directly contribute to death of patients. There is little to no staff available, the physicians are rude and have an absolute lack of bedside manner or medical knowledge. How one can diagnose a patient with ZERO tests being completed is amazing and arrogant. I strongly recommend anyone with similar experiences report this facility to the Pennsylvania Department of Health as this facility is dangerous.”

“My husband had outpatient knee surgery here 2 weeks ago. All of the staff members were great! They were very kind, considerate and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hospital.”
