Even though she’s a psychiatrist, not a specialist in my physical conditions, she was more knowledgeable about many of my diagnoses than doctors I’ve seen specifically for those issues. She took the time to thoroughly review every medication I take and medical condition I have, which has never happened before. What really stood out was how much she cared about understanding the full picture. She even looked into where my imaging was done to ensure the right specialists were reviewing it. I never realized how important it is to have a psychiatrist who understands complex medical conditions but this was such an eye opening experience. She understands how easily physical symptoms can be dismissed as anxiety (which worsens the anxiety) and tries prevent that from happening.
