“Im not your guinea pig. My second appointment where I was told that I would receive the help that I needed, but that was not true. I seen someone that wanted to put me directly on blood pressure medication, I was so excited to be getting help that I forgot to mention that I just had a Large coffee with 8 creamer and 10 sugars. But to jump to conclusions and try to put me on blood pressure medication without even asking if I had anything to drink or eat that would cause my blood pressure to be high? I said I've never had problems with my blood pressure Ever 🤧. I was told at my first appointment that I would be getting help today, that's the only reason I came in, I could tell right away that I was been judged because the way she mentioned stimulants, I could tell that she frowns on stimulants but she didn't take a second thought about putting me on "known dangerous" BLOOD PRESSURE MEDITATION? GO FIGURE THAT OUT. It took me a long time just to get up the trust to go get help again and this is the crap I got to go through again. I have been going through this for years and already found what "WORKS" and what "DON’T". I will not jump through anymore hoops. No Thanks and Thank for nothing. Keep practicing Medicine!!! I have been a patient of Kate McCalla Gilliatt for a long time, but when Ascension closed, the community health and wellness center closed for a while. Today, after 3 years, I returned to see Kate at IHC. The remodel of the office is beautiful. The nurses and staff were very accommodating and understanding about my anxiety about sitting in the lobby. The nurse, Alissa, was very kind, and the girls at the front desk were amazing. Kate, as always, is a pleasure! She's very knowledgeable, caring, and informative. She doesn't make you feel bad about yourself if you're overweight or a smoker but still does her job and kindly let's you know that you know better. IHC is a great place to go!”
