What patients say on Google

“Mishawaka/South Bend — This program is truly exceptional. The level of dedication, compassion, and commitment shown by the entire team is remarkable. From the very first phone call through admission and all the way to discharge, every interaction felt genuine, supportive, and reassuring during an incredibly difficult time. Communication with approved family members was consistent, transparent, and informative, which made a meaningful difference. The program doesn’t just support the individual—it actively involves and strengthens the entire family. The coping skills and techniques taught here provide lasting value well beyond treatment. What stands out most is how seamlessly the entire team collaborates. From individual and family therapists to case managers and medical staff, everyone works together with a shared goal: helping you rebuild and become stronger. I would strongly recommend this program to anyone in need of support. Whether you or a loved one is facing addiction, behavioral health challenges, or mental health struggles, this is a place where people genuinely care—and where real healing begins.”

“I am the parent of an ICFR adolescent alum. I struggle a bit with this review, as my child will likely have differing opinions, but I can only speak for myself and my observations. From where I stand, this place saved my child's life. Prior to their stay, I had a very limited understanding of mental health issues and so when the bottom dropped out, I was unprepared to deal with what was right in front of me. I had to act quickly, and while doing some research, the team from ICFR reached out to me immediately, addressing all of my concerns and putting me slightly at ease, even if just for a night. When your child is taken away, it's devastating, especially if you are unsure if they are coming back to you, or what they will be like when they do. I will admit, I was a mess. The only time I felt hope and peace was when I talked to some members of the staff who seemed to genuinely care for my child, which was not easy at that time, to say the least. For about 2 weeks, it was difficult to communicate with my child, but I could call the staff at night and get a progress report or an update, which I did almost every night. I always felt like my child was safe and in good hands, even when things were pretty rough. I know that it was challenging for the doctors and staff, but they never gave up on my kid. Now, thanks to continuing treatment and the medication management started at ICFR, we are seeing a great deal of steady progress and we have high hopes for the future. I would recommend ICFR to any parents who are seeking help for a loved one in crisis.”

“Wonderful facility with professional, compassionate, and supportive caregivers. Our family is so appreciative to the therapist and nurse practitioner that worked with our son to give him the care he needed. They kept us informed throughout the process and treated him with dignity and respect. We had negative experiences with two facilities previous to this one so we were so relieved once he was in the care of ICFR.”

“Parent Review: I cannot thank this facility enough for all they have done for my son and our family. We reached out because we were at the point of our lives where we didn't know what to do for our son. He had never been diagnosed with any mental issues but after experiencing one of the most traumatic events of our life, it was clear that something was wrong. I did a lot of research before sending him to this facility and as you all may know, there aren't many resources for adolescents needing inpatient help. This organization was there for us from the very beginning. I spoke with someone daily, well up until the day he left. Once arriving at the facility and meeting some of the staff as well as seeing the cleanliness of the facility, some of my worries were put to rest. Just like anywhere in healthcare there are good apples and there are bad apples. I found some of the staff very helpful and caring, while others appeared to not be happy about their place of work from some of the things mentioned by my son. These were mainly techs. I will say, regardless, it was nice that he was placed in uncomfortable situations at times because in life you can't always control your surroundings, but it's about the choices you make and your response. While I know my son won't be perfect, I do feel he has returned home as a brand new young man. He is more sure of himself, has tools he learned in therapy that he lives by on the day-to-day basis, and most of all he is TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY. I was very unsure about sending him here, but today I stand here 100% sure that I made the right decision. Huge shoutout to Katie & Stephanie (Therapist) as well as Mr. T. (Counselor). Adolescent Review: It was good on the therapy side I learned a lot but the food was gross and some staff were mean when I was blamed for slamming a door they made me sleep on a mattress in a cold room. I would say it helps build character.”
