What patients say on Google

“Five years ago, I entered RAC in very poor health and at one of the lowest points of my life. I had cirrhosis, a blood disorder, needed multiple surgeries, and honestly wasn’t sure what my future looked like. I was given the incredible gift of traveling from my home in New Jersey to Kentucky for a 28-day stay at RAC. At 60 years old, I was the oldest woman there, and I worried I’d feel out of place. Instead, I found compassion, acceptance, and support. The staff and fellow patients were truly pivotal to my success in rehab. The facility was clean, comfortable, and most importantly, I felt safe — something that was essential for my healing. And the food? Let’s just say I actually gained weight! The chef and kitchen team were amazing. We had guest speakers, outside meetings, movies, and educational lectures in the media room. I was even cared for with massages and time in the hot tub. I wasn’t treated like a “down and out drunk” — I was treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. The counselors and therapists worked tirelessly with us and consistently carried a message of genuine hope and recovery. I gave it everything I had while I was there, and when I left, I continued to work my program with the same commitment. Since then, I’ve had eight surgeries, lost 125 pounds, exercise every day, attend meetings almost daily, and dedicate myself to service work. Those things keep me close to my Higher Power and grounded in my sobriety. There truly aren’t words big enough to describe how RAC changed my life. I am eternally grateful. Today, my liver is stable, my life is full of purpose, and most importantly, I have hope again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏❤️”

“No one seeks addiction. No one feels like a valuable, contributing, or respected part of society when their butt is flapping in the breeze of a hospital gown. ✅Robert Alexander Center is the premier center for addicts and the families seeking help. Addicts are people under their addictions. The RAC treats people for their addictions, but they also prepare the person for life without the “haze” by including families. I loved the family sessions, there is a weekly virtual meeting for family support. As the support system I value the support of RAC too. Reach out. James Sweasy is very responsive, honest, and excellent to work with. He has been the most amazing point of contact for my family.”

“James is and has been truly an inspiration to me for many years. He helped me when I needed it most. He cares about people getting the help they need, insurance or no insurance he finds a way. I am not sure where I would be with out his guidance and his sharing of his experiences. RAC is there to help, I highly recommend this treatment center.”
Renee Miller
“Jake in admissions kept in touch with me daily to make sure I was safe before i was admitted. Rac saved my life. The staff, the residents, the facility, all of it. My sobriety would have remained a dream if not for this place. Do not hesitate to call. They work so well with all of your needs and meet every one, without question. This is a new found family and I’m more than grateful for this place and the people within these walls!”
