IHC at South Bend

“IHC on Western is supposed to get my medicine refilled and and I been out for over 5 days now. They are supposed to be my provider, but nothing is getting done. IT really sucks there.. They should not be in business.”

“NASTY RECEPTIONIST My sister came here today with our mother and her two young kids to inquire about getting a doctor to sign off on some paperwork needed for my niece to get emergency dental work done at another clinic. The receptionist was very rude and useless. She completely ignored my family’s needs which led them to sit for HOURS in the waiting room. They were under the impression that they would be seen at a set time. Well the time came and they asked how much longer. The nasty receptionist said “you never confirmed with me and stormed off” “I’m not a mind reader” and began going back and forth with grandma. What happened was they were misled into thinking an appointment was set. They left to get food and returned promptly to continue waiting. The foul receptionist saw them return and waiting and never once thought to communicate with them regarding the appointment. This was just a disgusting display of negligence from an office employee whose only job is to listen and answer question. We thankfully got to speak to a supervisor who was compassionate and understood the situation. She helped my family greatly and guided us in the direction of help for a child in pain. We’re thankful amazing people are in healthcare and love what they do. My family unfortunately met the “bad apple” and i hope her behavior is corrected. Her lack of communication skills and short temper is not what this clinic needs. We have been loyal to this clinic and it’s doctors since i was a child. I’m now 29 years old. Never would i have thought something like this would happen. And by my own people.”

“The service at this clinic is very disappointing. To get an appointment, you have to wait up to six months or more, and when the day finally approaches, they call to cancel it because the doctor won't be available. The worst part is that they don't offer a quick solution or a new appointment sooner, but instead force the wait to continue for months. This demonstrates a lack of consideration for patients and a serious lack of organization.”

“I had great experience at Indiana health centers western clinic. I seen Dr. El and he was very caring and nice with my daughter. Also, his MA Vanessa was very nice and had great care for my daughter. We totally will come back to see a provider here. Keep up the great work there. Everyone was nice from the back staff and front staff. Thank you all.”
