“Egregious, professional misjudgment by Dr. Damon Tothz at the Madison Street Clinic cost my son and my family needless suffering and hardship. A high risk decision to discontinue long standing and highly effective medication brought about a psychotic episode and hospitalization for my son. Prior to this event, my son was stable, upbeat and managing his daily life. He is now in the psychiatric wing of Upstate Hospital recovering from the episode triggered by Dr. Tohtz's decision to discontinue his medications. Beware of the questionable professional integrity and risk profile of this individual who apparently chose to ignore a long standing diagnosis from the NYS Office of Mental Health and go "his own way". “Dr. Madnick (#earthangel😇) will surely be missed 💔. I'm praying for him & his family to have peace, safety and success on their journey🛐 . A pleasure to have met and worked with him, luv Dee💞. Hutchings psychiatric outpatient services; makes great matches for care. Very caring, compassionate, good listeners, genuine in ambition to help and find solutions. Offered great skills of neuroplasticity in therapy, psychiatrist and groups to begin the healing process, thank you🙏”

“The first time I went here was for being suicidal. This place helped me honor my life. I was treated like a human being and the staff were very nice. Second time I came here was for being a violent person. It was a better alternative than jail. It was my "scared straight" program. About a year later I was a much, much, much better person. Thank you for helping me straighten my life out! Only negatives I give this place is it has increased my paranoia of going back every year in October. I also had a HUGE fear of the police from 2016-2020.”

“I left here more suicidal and terrified than when I entered. The staff was rude and made fun if us. The psychiatrist made me pretend I believed in God or else he thought I wasn't mentally stable. Once I started agreeing with his religious statements he said he thought I was doing better. The boys and girls always were doing inappropriate things to each other and the staff didn't care. When one of the patients got upset and was threatening to throw something (mind you both staff and other patients were making fun of her often and she was not aggressive until about a week or two into her stay because of their actions) the staff ran behind the other patients and left them exposed to be attacked. They also changed my medicine after I explicitly said I didn't want to.”
