How likely are you to recommend Horizon Behavioral Health, P.C.?
What patients say on Google
“From the moment I walked in, the front desk made me feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable. The office is calm, clean and very supportive, which really helped ease my anxiety. Dr. Banjoko is knowledgeable, compassionate and truly listens without judgement. I always leave my appointments feeling heard and more confident in managing my mental health. I highly recommend this office to anyone seeking effective mental health care!”
“Not a facility for women with trauma, or anyone needing advocacy from their provider. I have never felt more unsafe and scared by a practitioner in my life. Dr Banjanko caused me to have a complete panic attack with my husband watching in horror as we were trying to get help with my recent destabilization. I am more traumatized than when I started, I lost my ability to have them help with me my disability paperwork after requesting my full records, I was told I was being terminated from being a patient for being unsafe. I wasn't unsafe until the one appointment after 6 months with everyone else. I wasn't unsafe until I had my ptsd triggered intentionally while begging from myself to please stop I am getting overwhelmed. That man had me shaking and in tears, but I am unsafe? You know who is unsafe? Everyone woman that has also been put through this by that Doctor. He has years of complaints for the same exact issue brought up by former patients calling him cold and aggressive. His way or the high way. I am unsure why I was recommended there or why I ever felt safe with the women who had supervised me during TMS therapy but I wish I never stepped foot in that office because I used to be able to leave my house before Horizon, now I am scared to go out my front door because of that man. My whole treatment plan has been severely compromised by my distrust in this facility as a whole.”
“I have been a patient at HBH for years and have never felt like just a number or a checkmark in my PA's office until my last appointment. It was a very mechanical experience, and my PA prescribed another medication that ranges in price from $800 to $1,000 per prescription without disclosing the cost. We all know that the PAs, doctors, and staff are well aware of the expense of these medications. It was almost like a car salesman trying to make a sale. At this appointment, I spoke to him about weaning off my current medications to get back to a baseline without medication. He came up with a two-week plan to help me wean off, which completely backfired. One of these medications should be weaned off over months, not in two weeks. This caused serotonin syndrome and horrible withdrawal symptoms, causing my family and me to experience a very challenging and difficult time. So I followed up with him, and his answer was just to increase another medication I had been taking, which wasn't the case. It didn't help me at all. I should also add that he suggested putting my hands and face into ice-cold water to help if I spiraled or had a panic attack. By day three, I was beyond exhausted, angry, and frustrated. So I decided to schedule with a different PA for a second opinion. When we told her what the other PA suggested, she was in shock and in disbelief, as weaning off certain medications too quickly can cause seizures, withdrawal, serotonin syndrome, and other awful symptoms that weren’t expected. None of these symptoms or side effects were expected in the way that they occurred. The PA didn’t fully explain what to expect. He completely rushed through this appointment to the point that I don’t feel safe seeing him again. Therefore, I will not be seeing him ever again. Please be careful and do your research before ever trust another doctor or PA.”
“I'm from Texas and I moved here and started going to this place about a year ago. I cannot explain the night and day difference in care. I've had severe mental health issues for the last 20+ years and in one year these people have helped me more than literally 15 different doctors in 20 years in Texas. Johnathan is very knowledgeable and determined to treat you the best way he can. The front desk is ALWAYS so so helpful, patient and kind (Shout out to my girl Stephanie! Lol)”
