How likely are you to recommend Hopewell Health Centers?
“Used to be a great place, but has gone way down hill. I addressed my concerns to the person there whose job it is to take care of patients concerns. She acted like she did not care at all. They set me up with a virtual dr, cause that's basically all they have left. This virtual dr is refusing to continue any of my meds that my previous dr there had me on. I've been on the same meds for over 6 years, and they have helped me tremendously. She wants to cut all of that out and change it. The virtual dr would not listen to my concerns. I spoke to the lady there in charge of concerns, and told her that after many phone calls, if I'm abruptly taken off the meds, it could seriously cause me harm, and her exact response was "okay." Literally zero compassion in there anymore. I only go to see the one person that hasn't changed, and thats my amazing counselor that I've had for years. The dr side of Hopewell is absolute crap. I'm wondering what cracker jack box they found their degrees in.”
“I've been going since 2016.Then it was Life and Purpose now its Hopewell. I have seen dramatic changes in my personality and behavior since going here. for the better too! diagnosed in 2016 with Schizoaffective disorder I have been going to my doctor every 12 weeks and seeing a therapist too. I've been taking medications for my problems and I've never been better.”
“I like my doctor so I can say that much but everything else has gone so downhill. Appointment times being changed without my knowledge, my doctor occasionally not being in the office the day of my appointment and no one notifies me, and now surprise drug tests when I have absolutely no history of abusing controlled substances which I feel goes a little bit too far. Wish these aspects about the place would improve because aside from the care I receive from my doctor I'm not impressed in any way whatsoever with anything else.”
“I've had a VERY GOOD experience from 2 therapists(Primary and Family Therapist) and a Case Manager there. All three professionals are empathetic, caring, compassionate, and non- judgmental. They also give positive regard with stress management techniques. They try to teach you skills and tools for your daily life. It is up to you to do the homework. I think they have my best interest at heart. All of them are there to improve my life. I am learning new things to apply to make my life better. I am sincerely grateful for all the effort they pour into me. Their use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been excellent. They are always willing to give handouts to assist you in having better coping skills. They are good for calling you out on your "stuff", which is needed. Goals are set and it is up to me to reach them. I have reached some of them, which feels fantastic. They have Anxiety/ Depression groups and Relapse Prevention too. The office staff tries their best to deliver quality customer service. The medical records person tries her best too. No system is perfect. People need to take ownership and responsibility over their lives and recovery. I had Binge Eating Disorder for 37 years. It took talking about the grief and trauma to overcome my compulsion. I haven't binged in 3 months. 80% is considered successful. Erin, Joni, and Katryna have assisted in saving my life. It works if you are proactive and work it. Hence, I am thankful all of them make my world a better place. They all are doing their jobs to assist me in living at a higher level. This is very appreciated. Shay prescribed the correct medication. I feel better and am able to cope more than I ever have. I have a bright future ahead of me with my new toolbox. God bless you. You are worth getting help over. Mental illness is genetic; it is in everyone's family somewhere. Many people who have mental health issues are addicts, alcoholics, and compulsive eaters to numb the pain. This is a maladaptive coping mechanism. There is a better way to live and a higher level if you want it bad enough. Take the best care of yourself, you won't regret it. Besides doing the work, it is up to each individua to find the therapist that works best for you. Sometimes people (therapists) are not a good fit. Please don't give up and keep on trying. Don't complain about it. Do something about it.”
