“My medication was suppose to be get refilled automatically every 3 months. I was never told that after a certain amount of time I needed to make an appointment. I told the receptionist this yet she argued with me then hung up in my face. I even asked her can she let me talk to my doctor or explain to my doctor but she kept saying "you need an appointment" ( no problem for me but the next available appointment was in 2 months and I was already out of medicine). She tried to blame me even though I was never notified that the meds werent going to be refilled after they were automatically getting refilled for almost a year with no appointment....You are not suppose to stop depression medication cold turkey. She also made up a lie that I was missing appointments but there were no appointments made for me to miss. Before then I was always early to all my appointments. Anyway, I had to call again after she hung up in my face to say they are extremely unprofessional and this is dealing with my health. Stopping cold like that can be deadly..she finally told me they would refill enough until my next appointment which would be 2 months away. The medication wasnt ready until 2 weeks later (after the phone call) so by the time I tried to get back on them I was having bad side effects. I had to just continue to not take them. My doctor apologized during that last appointment months ago but after that I never went back...Im not about to be disrespected and lied on. I wasnt even going to write this review but this can be harmful to others. I got lucky that I was able to manage stopping these meds cold turkey. It's been 7 months post meds.”
“I was a patient before Covid, and back then I had a great experience here. Recently, it was just horrible. I'll explain. I am on leave due to work-related stress and my PCP recommended I start back seeing Dr. Burrow for my mental health needs. BIG mistake. I had an intake appointment on 08/03/23 which was not explained to me when I set the appointment up. So I was told before I left that my next appointment would be with the doctor. That was on 08/17/23. It was my "counseling" session. Okay. In the meantime, I had forms for my short-term disability claim faxed and emailed to them from the Hartford. They filled them out then called to tell me that they were completed, and that I could pick them up....for $75. Nuh, uh. Couldn't do it. They have an unusual amount of fees for this and that....things you expect a doctor's office to do for their patients because, you know, people have jobs they're trying to keep or kids have school. (This is actually the first doctor's office I know that charges for forms.) Anyway, I called them to let them know that I can't afford to pay for the forms as I am currently on leave (I've explained this to them several times) not getting paid and trying desperately to apply for this disability. So I requested my medical records instead and got quite the surprise when I looked over them on the portal. In my records, the woman misconstrued so much of what I told her that I was LIVID reading over them! I was poorly misrepresented and I even called my mother to let her know what she put in my records. My mother was so upset and appalled and told me that I would now have to be very careful about what I say to them from henceforth. She put stuff in there that I didn't even say at all! Like she was just making it up as she typed in her notes during my visit. I sent them an email immediately explaining how upset I was and how this information could be damning to my reputation as employers and law enforcement can be granted access to such records when necessary. I had also called my case manager for my disability claim at the Hartford, and she even said that this could negatively affect my request for short-term disability. YES. It needed to be corrected immediately! To conclude, please READ THROUGH YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS. This goes for any of your providers. You never know what they are including in your records if you don't request to see them. To add, I am very hurt because I trusted my doctor as anybody else would and I feel betrayed. You go to them for help and they end up doing the opposite. I battle major depression and anxiety disorder and this last experience has done more harm than good. I want to make this clear: I find no fault with Ms. Burrow. She is a spectacular woman. My grievance is with the company as a whole. Slander cannot be excused, especially when it's your doctor who's doing it. I don't want to give them ANY stars.....that's how upset I am. Furthermore, I no longer feel comfortable going back to this provider and do not recommend their services because they clearly do not care about their patients from all the excessive fees and the botching of one's medical records. I'm sorry. I thought I was done. But there was something else that bothered me about this practice. Their front desk receptionist has difficulty understanding the difference between an email address and website. She kept telling me that there are two email addresses and one is misspelled on purpose which made no sense. One was their website. She's a really sweet young lady but seems a bit obtuse when it comes to some things that's pertinent to her job. Again, when she was giving me another email address so that I could address the errors in my medical records, she said that this email, too, was also misspelled leaving out one of the "s" in "assistance." C'mon, now. That's tacky.”
“I have brought my son to this place about 5 times now. Me and my 12 year old son have had pleasant experiences each time. I really love Dr. Tanci Burrow. She listens to my son and listens to me with an open mind. She gives great advice. I take this serious when it comes to mental health of a child. Laura Williams is really good at what she does too! Great counselor.”
“It was our first and last visit. Had an intake appointment for my stepson, where NOTHING was explained. They were going to start talking to him without talking to us first. The therapist didn't come out of her office. I can't even tell you her name. Then after she was done speaking with my stepson, we were told she wanted to see him again in a month. We said we wanted something more frequent, one of the other workers had to ask the therapist about it and came back and told us that a month would be fine. They did not let us know why. There was no communication of how the appointment went. Then upon calling back to get more clarification, the therapist is on lunch, then after calling back again she is in a meeting. The receptionist said we could pay for the medical records from the appointment, but I told them I wanted a phone call. This is such a disappointment, I don't see how this facility is still in business if this is how they do things.”
