How likely are you to recommend Holt Assessment Services, LLC?
“Unorganized and unreliable. I stopped going here years ago after repeated issues with scheduling, lack of follow-up, and an overreliance on medication as the only form of treatment. Appointments were often rescheduled or mishandled, and communication was poor. I’m leaving this review to caution others who may be considering this place. look elsewhere if you want consistent, well-rounded care.”
“Absolutely unprofessional. Just hours before my initial appointment, I got a phone call informing me that the staff member had a doctor appointment they "forgot about" and that we would have to reschedule. So I was rescheduled for about 2 weeks afterward. The day before my new appointment, I received another phone call once again saying that we were going to have to reschedule again, due to the staff member having yet another appointment that was a long drive away and they "didn't want to be late for it." So their appointments are more important than clients' appointments. I had already requested time off from work to make it to this appointment too. Unacceptable. Oh, and apparently they're cash only.”
“They are very unprofessional and very unorganized I will never make an appointment for my child there again. I had made a appointment a whole month ago with them and I call to see if I could get my appointment time moved , they told me they didn’t have her in the system and I told her that I spoke with a older lady and they told me “it’s only 2 people that answered the phone” I heard the lady in the back say it won’t me and she sound like the lady that I talk to a month ago. You aren’t suppose to say that. Then she said ok I can add her but it will be a whole month that they can see her. I said that’s fine and hung up. They are verrrryyyyyy unorganized cause how could you not put my child appointment in and I have it in my phone smh.”
“Holt assessment is an unextremyly unprofessional and poorly run facility. The psychiatrist at this facility have absolutely no empathy skills or compassion for their paperwork. Dr. Artis is one of the doctors at this facility. I have know him for years. He does not listen to patients at all even though he's supposed to document the visits. He has messed up my prescriptions several times. I even had a peer counselor in the room with me and she observed his cold demeanor as I cried hysterically. I was told I would be getting peer counseling, therapy and a doctor. They also told me they were going to help me with housing and disability. I only saw the program director, Sheila Holt one time and she showed up to my house completely unannounced. She promised she would help me but I had not heard from her for two months up until I left. I was set up with a tele doctor named Jamie Wiles and she had a student with here. I did not feel she had the cultural training to understand a patient like me, young black african American female. I have protested numerous times to the fact that the medications are not helping and I need therapy. I was promised therapy for months. On the last appointment I was told I cant have a therapist because I have a peer counselor. No one ever told me this when I started the program. I expressed my dissatisfaction for Jamie and the fact that all she does is try to push higher doses of medication on me rather than listen to me. I have severe anger issues, PTSD, intermittent explosiveness disorder and instead of helping me they discharged me without even informing me. How do you call yourself mental health specialist when the majority of your staff has no qualifications to do this type of work? How do you call yourself a mental health specialist when you're unwilling to help the people that need it the most. I have reported this office to the NC medical board and I encourage others to do the same. Additionally, I would like to add two of the reviews listed here on google are from staff that work at holt assessment, hence the last name holt.I would also like to add that they called 3 police officers to come to my house because I said I refuse to take medication. Fortunately, due to their disorganization. They failed to put my correct information on the paperwork so they could not legally hold me. This is a screwed up facility. I hope they lost their funding and get shut down.”
