How likely are you to recommend Holistic Health and Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“I had been suggested to try this psychiatry clinic after two of my siblings had generally favorable experiences with Jodi Hopkins here; I was unable to see her as a patient, so I was given an option to schedule with another doctor, and one was chosen at random for me. I do not ever leave reviews for things but I felt compelled to do so following my experience with this clinic. For clarity sake I was making an appointment with the clinic for assistance with worsening ADHD symptoms. My first hint was that the service over the phone for making the appointment was very blunt and unhelpful; I was looking for assistance with ADHD, and when I asked if the doctor they scheduled for me had any experience with Autism or ADHD, I was told “……yeah.” And that was it - It was difficult to ask for more information, it felt like I was somehow bothering the receptionist for needing information about my own appointment or about the practitioner being assigned to me. I wanted to know if the specific issue I was going to the practice for was going to be respectfully addressed, because I wouldn’t want to make an appointment if it wasn’t. The website indicated that ASD/ADHD were within the bounds of treatment provided, and I have been so desperate for help that I went ahead with the appointment. Over telehealth, I met with the practitioner Bridget Shu. I’d like to preface by saying that as a person she seemed very nice and I have no issue with her as a person. However, the standard of care I received was essentially what felt like being read the patient survey (which I had already filled out) and when I tried to explain my specific needs and issues, I did not feel listened to nor did I have those needs addressed. I was more or less billed almost $200 for Shu to write down a list of other psychiatrists and tell me to see them instead. I was a bit flabbergasted because, again, I had asked reception if my needs were under the criteria of Holistic Health and Psychiatry and was told yes. But instead, I was sort of handwaved and then had to write down a list of other psychiatrists to see instead of…the psychiatry office I had made an appointment for. I was supposed to be emailed some sort of ADHD survey that Dr.Shu was going to send me, but it was never sent. The whole experience felt completely deflating. Again, these seem like nice people as far as character but I would not go back to this service nor would I feel that I could recommend them after my experience, especially considering the bill attached just to be told to go somewhere else.”
“Office staffs were kind and helpful. Peter was knowledgeable and hopefull. He identified the problem and gave a treatment protocol that fit our lifestyle. He shared how progress will be monitored. I was impressed with his sincerity and desire to bring health in body and mind. Thank you so very much.”
