What patients say on Google

“Their business policies interfere with patient care. Psychotherapy depends on trust, and Hinsdale Psychiatry’s billing policies and curt office manager (I’ve met friendlier staffers at the midtown DMV) facilitate none. I had a no-show appointment that I wasn’t notified about. Sure, the missed appointment was an oversight on my part, but what if I had a condition that caused memory lapses, or had reacted poorly to my meds and were in a severely depressed state? The result was that I couldn’t have a prescription refilled. Without the courtesy of a notification about a missed appointment, what was a simple miscommunication felt like a punitive snap on the leash. As I understand it, therapy requires patients to extend trust and be vulnerable, and you can’t do that in a building where the motto is “cash on the barrelhead”.”

“We had one appointment for therapy- To attend we were required to first enter our payment information on the website days in advance, and were then charged for the appointment prior to attending. We had scheduled an hour appointment, and my son was sent out after 45 un-escorted. The receptionist left half way through the appointment and no one was available to schedule any follow up. When we called to ask the correct process, the manager of the facility became extremely upset, offered no instruction, then hung up the phone on us. This place seems only interested in money (a 100 dollar charge is listed if a prescription refill is needed outside of an appointment. with a note that patients should try to schedule appointments around prescription need timing). terrible service”

“$100 to get each script for meds I’ve been prescribed for years, all because money got tight and I couldn’t afford the office visit next month. Cash rules everything around me. Can’t wait for antiquated barbaric systems to be reworked into the present day compassion forward vibe we should all be cultivating. Renee wortz is great so is John once you get in a room the practitioners are caring and efficient. Honestly explain to me where you get off charging $100 to let me come and pick up a piece of paper / fax a script in? Awful business, I’d love to know if there’s some state involvement or if this is an issue of a book of business losing its damn mind. Reach out to me if you want unaldurated opinion's and solutions”

“This review is for the facility and management and is not a reflection of Renae Wortz. I’ve been a patient here for 2.5 years. Last week I was called regarding my card on file not working (fine, it was expired). My balance was $121. My next appointment isn’t until June so I thought nothing of it as I’d just call eventually and update (it’s April). Well, they canceled my appt for June due to this. So, a patient who needs care and serious medication, they deemed this is the appropriate way to manage such an issue. I called to pay my balance and to permanently separate myself from this facility.”
