How likely are you to recommend High Focus Centers Exton Outpatient Treatment Center?
“Before starting therapy, I felt completely overwhelmed and lost. My anxiety and depression had taken over, and simple daily tasks felt impossible. It was here, through PHP, IOP and finally OP that I was in a safe space where I was truly heard without judgment. I learned practical coping skills to challenge my negative thoughts and regain control of my life and confidence. I am deeply grateful for having such a strong team of therapists, thank you Mark, Rachel, Sydney and Megan. I want to also thank Lisa at the front desk for starting my day off with a warm hello every time I came through that door, sometimes it’s the little things in life that matter.”
“The program is very good. They have very nice therapists and they are caring and attentive and will do their best to get you in a better state of mind and provide you with resources to help you. However, stay far away from their billing agents. Absolutely disrespectful and do not honor payment plans. If you’re struggling with money these people will love to rob you of every cent and put your bank account in the negatives. It’s not the eyes that are blind but their hearts. Their billing team are walking a fine line to the path to jahannam. Absolutely terrible human beings that care more about a dollar than human life.”
“When I came to High Focus I was in the highest anxiety state of my life, during my time here I have met some incredible people in group, fantastic holistic providers and had great insight from therapists especially Mark and Sydney. Sydney is my assigned therapist and has had a hand in forever making my life better. She works endlessly to make sure I am heard, comfortable and advocated for constantly. Forever grateful that I found this place and gave it a chance with an open mind and heart. I wanted to do an update to express how thankful I am for High Focus Anxiety and OCD IOP. OCD is something I recently was diagnosed with and had no idea what was going on in my mind and body. It was alarming and through the process of PHP and this specialized IOP for my anxiety and OCD it has truly changed my life forever. Megan is such a fantastic addition to this already great team and I will be forever grateful for all the compassion and knowledge I learned in our short time together. I also was so relieved to be in a room with people who are experiencing something along side as me too and who really understood me. I know that the skills I have learned during this time I will be able to use for the rest of my life. Thank you High Focus!”
“We’ve seen Dr. Fitzmartin twice, and both experiences were extremely disappointing. During both visits, his demeanor toward my son felt condescending and, at times, accusatory. When my son shared that he had been dieting and exercising to help manage his depression and overall health, the doctor responded with, “Why are you doing that?”—and quickly shifted to offering a prescription for weight loss medication, seemingly disregarding the effort and progress my son had already made. At my son’s request, I attended the appointments, but I was made to feel unwelcome. When I sat in an extra chair in the room, the doctor remarked, “That’s an experimental chair…meaning it’s never used,” which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. There were also serious issues with basic care and follow-through. Prescriptions were not filled in a timely manner, and when they were, they were filled incorrectly. Communication and attention to detail were clearly lacking. What was most frustrating was the lack of continuity and preparation. During the first visit, I believed the doctor was taking notes and becoming familiar with my son’s medical history. We even had a separate appointment with another provider to review his medications and hospitalizations in detail. Despite that, we were asked to repeat the entire history again—not just once, but twice—because the doctor did not seem to remember or review prior information. He couldn’t even recall that he had increased my son’s medication at the previous visit. Overall, this experience felt disorganized, dismissive, and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the issues extended beyond the doctor, as the front desk staff were also not particularly helpful or welcoming. My son deals with anxiety and a fear of doctors, there was very little kindness shown or even acknowledgment. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism before. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this provider or facility.”
