What patients say on Google

“I started seeing Jessica Hull last year and decided to stop going because she made me uncomfortable, but due to recent events I had to go back to get myself on track. Again, terrible, made me very uncomfortable and when I had a bad reaction to my medication, she basically completely ignored me. Has not checked on me one time, literally zero response from her until my pharmacist contacted her. So I called Monday or Tuesday morning to switch providers there, the lady told me I’d receive a call back from the manager after she left her meeting that same day. It is now Saturday and I still haven’t heard anything back. I now have to reach back out to them, in hopes to get out of there completely now. It’s a genuine shame that you guys don’t actually care at all about the people who come to you for mental health help.”

“I’ve been seeing Jessica Hull for 10+ years, and she’s phenomenal. Her medical role is primarily to monitor your meds and add, stop, or adjust as necessary. However, being the very smart and caring professional that she is, she also provides a level of counseling that is needed for my chronic depression. She probes to fully understand what I’m experiencing and discusses coping mechanisms or small-step at a time actions to take to alleviate situational depression which is a bigger problem in my life than brain-chemical depression. She’s a warm, personable, upbeat, and awfully kind and thoughtful woman who listens, remembers details of my life not in my charts and files, and I feel she ‘sees’ and understands me. She’s just an all-around lovely human being who is highly professional and cares for her patients’ well being in their daily lives. We’re not just a diagnosis and a prescription to her. I admire and enjoy her, and am grateful that I’m in her excellent care.”

“My experience with Henry Ford out patient behavior health has been horrible. If I could leave no stars I would. Their supervisor Maureen is very unprofessional and does not care about anyone’s mental health. She dismissed all of my concerns, they proscribed me medication that was awful and when I voiced my concerns no one listened. They called me a liar and treated me with no respect. Henry Ford does not care about mental health at all, all they care about is money. The front desk workers were rude and hung up on me, they also lied and were extremely snarky with me.”

“I was assigned a new psychiatrist last year because I had previously working with a resident who ended up moving on to a different practice. I have Borderline Personality Disorder which requires hands-on, active care to maintain mental stability. This psychiatrist was always quite harsh and honestly kind of insensitive, but there’s limited options so I stuck with her. Last fall I had a mental break and missed a few appointments. The office notified me that I was in danger of losing my care due to missed appointments, so I really worked to try to get back above water mentally to keep up on my appointments. I have not missed an appointment since January 2024. In July 2024 I received a letter that I had “broken trust” with my provider and that I was being discharged with the entire Henry Ford Outpatient Psychiatry department. I appealed for a review and my doctor denied it with no option to stay and just see another provider, leaving me with no care to monitor my disorder. They recommended Lifeways, which is impossible to get into and is not that effective, and a county service that I can’t use because I don’t live in this county and I need legitimate help beyond a county facility’s capabilities. Avoid Dr. Maureen Albe. I’m distressed and am scared for what my next few months will look like as I try to navigate my BPD without professional care.”
