“BEWARE: HE HAS DELETED MANY NEGATIVES AND HIS 5 STARS ARE BEYOND FAKE. (Just one sentence praising his "compassion and kindness" etc ALL LIES. Dr. Ahmed was my doctor I had gone to due to depression and anxiety after my brother's untimely death. I had left a review on his disregard towards patient's feelings. Somehow it seems they can get these negative reviews taken off. That's appalling they can hide the negativity. My husband also had a horrible experience and his and many others are gone. HE SHOULD NOT get a clean slate after how he lacks zero compassion for the patients that need it the most. He loves to prescribe whatever and I was on a cocktail of medications that were NOT meant to be taken together. I am so glad I have found someone that cares and have been seeing him for almost 5 years. I think if every doctor faced a horrible illness and saw a doctor that dismissed their concerns and no sympathy, they'd learn much more than they could ever learn in medical school. He may someday have to seek treatment for himself and despite his rudeness, I wish him a better doctor than he was to my husband and I. Make sure to dress nice for your appointment because apparently if you're wearing any construction clothing, he'll ask you next time to change. I didn't realize there was a dress code for VERY hard working men that aren't sitting at a desk throwing out prescriptions left and right”
“Scheduled an appointment, received texts for my up coming appointment and took some time off work. Called multiple times to confirm my appointment, eventually drove out to the location that's listed online to find this: an empty office.”
“I called about 20 different Psychiatrists to get in somewhere for my anxiety issues. This office was my only choice, as they were the only ones accepting new patients. Prefacing with that, this doctor was not my first choice, and after our first meeting it was confirmed. My first sit down was maybe 25 minutes. In that time he read questions from his computer and determined that he wanted to treat me for Bi-Polar. I have no mood swings, I have no maniac behavior history. I do not have depression. I have no anger issues. I have horrible anxiety. By now, many are thinking I was just chasing xanax. Let me clarify that I made it very clear to the doctor from day one that I did not want to be on any benzos, I'm petrified of becoming dependent on them. Day one he started putting me on Bi-Polar medications. I'm in sales, so I communicate with people for a living. With each new medication he tried me on, it either turned me in to a zombie or it made me have panic attacks. Every new prescription I would ask what the side effects were, and he'd always tell me "nothing to worry about". As I'd always experience horrible side effects, I'd come back in and he'd just switch me to a similar medication, that would result in the same side effects. This went on for nearly half a year. The worst six months of my life. All while still having horrible anxiety, increased a majority of the time by these medications being shotgunned at me. Eventually on a visit, after another failed prescription for the treatment of Bi-Polar, he recommended I get another opinion. I took that as a recommendation, and not a demand. Either way I began calling locally and within 50 miles, every single doctor I could find. All would either not take my insurance or they weren't accepting patients. I also would call U of M daily every morning, and I was on their wait list which is at the least two months out. My next, and what turned out to be my final visit, he accused me of not trying to find another doctor. He told me he would no longer see me, and that I was supposed to find a new doctor. I told him I've tried, and he just didn't believe me. I then asked him about the lexapro and gabapentin he had me on, what do I do about those medications? He leaned back, and told me "I'm not required to fill your prescriptions anymore or see you anymore". At this point I was livid, but calmly left. I got home and started researching on how to taper myself off those medications. Thankfully I was able to, with only minor anxiety issues. He offered no guide at all for taper, he basically washed his hands of all responsibility. Check my review history, I've never written a negative review. I hate doing it. As a business owner, I know it's the first thing people go to read. I put off writing this for a while, but decided people needed to see this and make their own decisions. Three Side Notes... The staff was absolutely amazing, and always got me in same day when I was having horrible reactions to the medications being shotgunned at me. The office cycles thru therapists what seems like every month or two. In the six months I went there, I had three different therapists that all left his office. I gave up on doing therapy there, because every time I'd make progress I'd have to start all over again. On a positive note, After calling another 30 doctor offices, I was able to get in to a new psychiatrist in three weeks. If you found success here, I'm happy for you. I was not as lucky.”
“The staff and doctor was very rude. I asked for an appointment and i was told they were scheduling for two weeks away and she would call back with a date and time. I had to call back a week later to find out they decided they were not going to see me .. at all. I asked the receptionist why and was told no specific reason she knew about. When I pushed for an answer she put me on hold for 15min. When she came back she said the doctor didn't want to give me an answer and was very snotty about it as if I was bothering her. Don't reward this place with your business there are a lot of wonderful places that are actually professional and curtious. Also it should be noted that I had read several bad reviews on this place after I had this happen and I wrote a bad review on them a few weeks ago myself but they are now missing from the section. I think it's safe to assume they have one of those companies that cleans up their horrible review's for them. Steer clear of this place!”
