“Who is Dr Michelle Kukla of Healthy Living Counseling Center, one asks? About three years ago, I was blessed to find Dr. Kukla during the time that I was very distressed due to my husband being so medically ill. We started out very simply with working on teaching me how I could naturally bring my stress down through verbal and physical cues I had control over. As we advanced in our time together, I found her depths of knowledge of the human body and mind so alarmingly wonderful! (I say alarmingly because in a previous marriage I had went to three different counselors, and unfortunately they had nothing to offer that helped me cope with the abuse and trauma I was going through at that time.) With Dr. Kukla, however, it's a totally different story here. She has replaced my bad experiences with ones that I will forever be thankful for. She has walked beside me educating me on how to take care of myself, has guided me with her knowledge of how best to help my husband, and though he passed in November 2022, she has continued to help me adjust and navigate healthily in my life as a single person. Dr. Kukla is personable and professional, and is an absolute delight to work with with a great smile, and clear and effective communication skills. At 70 years of age, I am not the fastest one to learn things, but she is so patient with me as I try and wrap my head around different aspects of life and how to help myself be healed. It has not been easy, and it is taking a lot of work, but our continued weekly sessions have allowed me to be in a much better place - medically, physically, and for me also spiritually. Numerous times Dr. Kukla has went "the extra mile" for me in educating me about my own mental and physical health, plus my husband's, as we struggled toward the end of his time here on earth. And you know it's not just me that she has touched so deeply. I have taken a lot of what I have learned and shared it with my family and friends. They too have benefited with better/improved emotional and physical health knowledge thanks to Dr. Kukla. If you are reading this review and feel you need help - whether a little or a lot - I would highly recommend reaching out to Healthy Living Counseling Center to see if they too can help you navigate your journey in life to be the happiest and healthiest you can be.”

“I was misdiagnosed in 1997 with Bi-Polar and Schizophrenia. In addition, I was overmedicated for 2 decades. After which I was referred to Dr. Michelle Kukla, PsyD who showed me how to manage pain drug free. However, it was important to me to make sure that I did not have these mental disorders and that I understood the “why” the new doctors thought it was a misdiagnosis. So I found a checklist on the Internet for signs and symptoms of Bi-Polar and Schizophrenia and together with Dr. Kukla, we reviewed each line item. I made sure that I understood what each of these symptoms meant and how that would show up for me. On December 16, 2014, I began the doctor-managed process of getting off all of my medications. I still had many issues. The MRI showed a diagnosis of two torn rotator cuffs that appeared to be 20 years old. In addition, I had developed carpal tunnel syndrome (both wrists), trigger fingers (both hands), a bone spur (right hand), small fiber neuropathy, PTSD, and high anxiety. In addition, I was obese. All of these conditions contributed to the pain. However, that day and going forward, I chose to manage the pain, instead of it managing me. Dr. Kukla shared many methods and introduced me to alternative healthcare practitioners who showed me how to let the body heal itself. This experience is what led me on my path to share real health and wellness to our world and to encourage people to make informed choices. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Michelle. Without her wind beneath my wings, I would not be healthy today. Thank you Dr. Michelle!”

“Dr. Michelle Kukla has been the ear & wisdom I needed to get through the last four years of my life. When I thought I had no options, Dr. Kukla showed me there were. I am forever grateful! I am the healthy minded woman I use to be!!!”

“I will not take my child to Dr. Kathleen Zachary again. Not trust worthy, she made it worse than before. no progress made. she created a scenario and made our child hate us. wasted time and money by sending my child for therapy with her. never listens to parents and child. I moved to another therapist and things are better now”
