“The first two specialist/practitioner nurses were terrific—very professional and empathetic. I felt like I was in a safe place with them. However, the last practitioner who gave me the diagnosis was very cold. She didn’t seem willing to hear what I had to say and was firm in her decision without really paying attention to what I was feeling in the moment. At times, she smirked at things I said, which made me feel unsafe and dismissed. I honestly wish I had gone somewhere else.”
