What patients say on Google
“Hazelden is extremely overrated. Once, the best treatment center for the stars, it still lives on its name when in reality it’s overpriced and has nothing to offer that other facilities don’t. I have been clean for 20+ years and went through three rehabs until I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired. I thought Hazelden had some magic wand. They don’t. Rehab can’t help you until you are truly ready and most people aren’t ready until they hit rock bottom. And rock bottom has several layers. That’s the reality. Recovery is a lifelong journey and the first few years (yes, years!) are living hell. You have to completely change every single facet of your life. Everything. That’s where most people fail. There are certain things they think they can hang on to. But you can’t. Recovery is the ultimate sacrifice and most people don’t understand what that entails. So they “relapse.” Again and again. When you are willing to give up everything, you have a chance. People think that’s too hard to do but when you realize you have already given up everything for drugs or booze, it’s not so hard. I have just given you the very foundation for recovery, and it didn’t cost you a cent. I wish you well on your journey. In the end, it’s worth it… Thank you”
“Never felt better in my life than having good people who actually care about your hardships.”
