How likely are you to recommend Hart-Johnson Mary F?
What patients say on Google
“After years of trying to find the right mental health provider, I finally feel like I’m in the right hands with Mary Hart-Johnson, a highly trained and board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She is the first provider I’ve seen who genuinely listens. Most of my past appointments with other doctors felt rushed and focused only on renewing prescriptions, but she actually takes the time to talk with you and understand what’s going on. That alone sets her apart. She goes far beyond quick check-ins. She asks thoughtful questions, remembers your history, and works with you to figure out what’s helping and what isn’t. If someone wants a fast prescription with minimal conversation, she isn’t the right fit. But if you want a provider who truly engages with your care, she is exceptional. I also appreciate her balanced approach. She prescribes medication when it’s needed, but she also recommends vitamins and supplements to support brain health so you aren’t relying solely on pharmaceuticals. It’s not an extreme holistic approach and it’s not a medication-only mindset. She blends both in a thoughtful, evidence-based way that supports long-term improvement. Over time, I’ve felt more supported and more understood by her than with any other mental health provider I’ve seen. She looks at the full picture, not just the symptoms on a chart, and that makes a meaningful difference in how I manage my conditions. If you’re looking for someone who combines expertise, compassion, and real attention to your needs, I highly recommend Mary Hart-Johnson, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC. Five stars without hesitation.”
“Mary is amazing. She’s straightforward, doesn’t have time for nonsense, and can sometimes be a bit tough. However, it’s to help us be successful and to get out of our own way. I’ve dealt with a lot of psychiatrists that couldn’t care if you were even breathing or having a panic attack. Mary wants what is best for us and expects us to work on ourselves too, and that’s what we need in order to be accountable to ourselves. Also, her staff is wonderful. Susan and Robin are always so kind. I can’t say enough about them. This office is worth going to if you actually want help and are willing to do what Mary suggests you do.”
“One of THE most judgemental mental health clinicians ive ever come across, very opinionated. In my experience psychiatrists should be more Switzerland than soviet union. Did not want to listen to my concerns about trying medication new to the market. Insisted on antipsychotics whilst providing no information on a possible diagnosis that may lead her to come to the conclusion i needed those. Pushed very hard to get me off zoom in under10 minutes. Our appointment was scheduled for abt 35 minutes. Could never go into deep enough conversation about symptoms for me to really feel like she understood me. I was just a cash cow. Rude and arrogant demeanor. I hate to leave a review like this, but i wish i had known before seeing her. So im here to let yall know. I felt ashamed about myself when working with her. No client should ever feel this way by their provider. Choose someone else. Goodday.”
“As a previous patient I was going through something with a solution based perspective. But, I am so appalled that despite my perseverance Mary Hart was not willing to accommodate my needs nor take me seriously enough to provide the resources I would need to be successful. The way in which she cancelled my appointment was rather deceptive and conniving . It was abrupt and the explanation giving for cancellation made no logical sense. Giving the impression that she never wanted to meet in the first place . She also prescribed me medication that I was having a reaction to and wouldn’t help with finding a replacement. I tried to work with her but realized she wasn’t working with me. Disappointing”
