How likely are you to recommend Hamilton Mental Health Services?
“I'm going to keep the short and simple, I've seen a couple mental health specialists and one of them for a year I've seen could not help me with my anxiety issues nor my mental help, and the other one I seen did try but still couldn't solve everything I needed..however my first visit with Dr.hamilton I explained all my issues from the past until now and the medications I've been on and within the first visit and prescriptions he has literally solved my issues! He really does understand the importance of mental health and how the body works! Honestly I couldn't ask for a better and more understanding mental health provider then this man! I can say with 100% certainty that I will not be switching! If you are looking for REAL help this is the man to go too! His team is also very responsive and respectful and makes sure everything is taken care of for your appointments.”
“I got in a car accident and responded to the office on a Saturday (they are open Saturday, but claimed they were not even though they texted me). I could not make my appointment because my car is totaled, and I received no response. On Tuesday they charged me $50 no show even though I messaged them on Saturday. No care as to whether I was okay, just when I would give them $50 and if I want to reschedule. Mind you, the office staff 1. Lied and said they werent open Saturday, and 2. Admitted I tried to let them know on Saturday, which is greater than 24 hours. They would rather $50 than to make an exception for an established patient who totaled their car. I should have listened to my therapist and canceled months ago; this guy doesn’t remember anything about me when I see him anyway. I’ve never seen such flippant and rude behavior from mental health staff, but it is clear they do not care as they will not make an exception for a patient who has a totaled car and did attempt to reach out more than 24 hours before the appointment. Will take my business elsewhere.”
“I had been seeing this provider since early 2024 and had never had a bad experience with the provider or his staff. Once he started to grow in business, customer care went out the window. I asked for my medical records to be sent to a third party and then also myself. During this, I also stated I would no longer be a patient of this practice. When asked why, I gave my feedback and this is where things went south real quick. Whoever answers their texts (an option to contact them) took this very to heart and became defensive over my concerns. One concern being how they bill. Noel Hamilton is listed as in network with Anthem, but their third party biller isn’t. When I mentioned that concern, I was sent, “Eric, I am sorry you’re so misinformed”. I reached out to Anthem who said he is in clear violation of in network contract agreements. After that interaction, I knew my decision was right. They told me they would process my records Monday. I never demanded them Monday. They picked that day. However, Monday comes along and they keep giving me issues with the third party because I didn’t have a fax number (they don’t have that). This was then followed up by them sending me my records to my email. I’ll attach the “records” I was sent as there is nothing there. I politely asked how to view it thinking maybe I was missing something. No reply. I called the office to seek clarification because sometimes written text is misinterpreted. No answer. Monday night I wrote up a demand letter, as suggested by my therapist, that gave them 30 days from initial day of request to send me my records, as legally required. This letter sent the provider off. He called me at 9:50am the following day yelling at me. He decided to personally attack me during this call as well. He told me this is why I can’t hold a job because of my emotions (I have a really great job, lol) and then told me he’s going to send cops to my house for a wellness check because clearly I’m unwell. I immediately put him on speaker for my parents to hear. They were both dumbfounded. He refused to repeat his threat about sending cops again… because he knows misusing his power would get his license revoked. He told me to never contact them again and hung up. 4 minutes of this. Before the call ended, he asked me if I’m taking my meds because I am unstable. I am no longer his patient and have seen a new psychiatrist TWICE since seeing him so that is absolutely none of his concern. He reminded me of a parent screaming at their kid because they broke a law. Not how you speak to a patient at all. I already filed a complaint with the state over this. I was eventually sent the records late at night but with incorrect info. The damage he has done to me is irreversible. I now will have trust issues with my providers.”
“I have been going to psychiatrists for over 20 years and never have I felt more comfortable and understood than I have with Dr Hamilton. Him and his staff are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous! They make me feel like a human who is not just another insurance number and have treated my mental health issues to the point of where I can start living life in a healthy way again. Would highly recommend to any new patient, and especially if you are a patient struggling with doctors over the years and finally want to get some proper help that you deserve and need!”
