How likely are you to recommend Guiding Light Health?
“Dr. Zhou denied me care because I legally and responsibly use medical marijuana to help manage PTSD. He also acknowledged that it "wasn't a good fit," then proceeded to try to keep me on a telehealth call with him anyway so that he could meet the billable time and get paid. Avoid this place. They will waste your time and money.”
“Doctor clearly cares little other than to get paid. I left his office with the parting words being reassurance that it was not a possible side effect to have suicidal thoughts with prescribed medication "at my age". Hours after the first dose as directed I experienced an extreme reaction including hallucinations that required emergency medical care. Not only did the office not care enough to call back in a timely fashion, the doctor did not call at all but wanted to make another appointment later in the week. Pathetic and disgusting in the mental health field. There are better qualified doctors in the area, choose elsewhere.”
“I went to Dr. Vilensky’s practice back in 2017. He really was key to helping me pull out of depression. His staff was pretty helpful and polite too, especially Crystal. It’s been a few years since then and I’ve moved back to my home state, but I’ve been doing great and still been able to adjust to the things that may trigger my anxiety. Thank you guys. It would definitely still be the place I’d recommend to any future Penn State students.”
“Went to him for actual help and always left with nothing. I’m well educated about medicine already so when I suggested a certain medicine, he refused to give it to me and insisted the medicine he prescribed was for me when I would get sick from it. When I’d express how I was feeling and what I thought I’d need, he’d make me take computerized tests instead of actually listening to how I felt and what I needed. Also, never informs me about if my insurance wasn’t up to date so when I got charged and needed to pay before the next appointment, I was caught off guard at the next appointment and would have an ultimatum to go through w my appointment and get charged another $200 to my account or leave and get charged w a no show fee of $75. I’m a college student with a very busy schedule and they are not understanding about this. All they want is your money and don’t care about your mental health. Worst psychiatrist I’ve ever seen.”
