“I tried this place because it was down the block from my house. I was really looking forward to starting therapy because it was my first time actually reaching out to get help. My therapist knew this. Aside from her digging in her mouth and picking her teeth during our last 2 sessions, the last couple times I exclaimed how glad I was to be there and how it felt so long since our last visit, she would always say back "It hasn't even been that long, chill..." but it had been for me considering it was my only form of emotional release. When I asked her what type of schedule she recommended for my healing journey she never really gave me guidance and said "whenever you feel like it". I never walked out of there feeling any better so I just stopped coming. 🤷‍♀️ I know this sounds off the wall but this was my ACTUAL experience. 🤣 wildly awkward and just overall weird, uncomfortable experience. I cant believe I told these people my most intimate thoughts and feelings with no real growth from any of their services.”

“Went to Growth & Guidance after a death of a loved one. Thought supporting a black owned business and getting the help my daughter & I needed would be a great experience. My daughter stated it only made her feel worse about the loss she suffered. The therapist would call/text and cancel the day of several times. No problem, we just rescheduled. However, whenever my daughter or I would call to reschedule or cancel she would report us as no call no shows and try to charge my insurance. My out of pocket was only $15/session. However, I now have a debt collector coming after me for $270 & $225. This is why it’s hard for us to support our own. When she needed to cancel or reschedule we never contacted the office to report the unprofessionalism because life happens. We gave grace and were understanding. Yet, we were not granted the same grace. We sought help from these people for trauma and they are intentionally trying to inflict more trauma. Lesson learned and I hope you all don’t have her working there anymore because if she did this to us, who else has she done this to.”
