“Dr kaftan is an awesome doctor and human being. Hes dedicated his life to helping those with addiction, having struggles with pain pill addiction myself, seeing how long and hard the journey can be, I can promise you the doctor can make the entire difference between someone getting clean or getting high and saying ehh whatever. I see dr. Kaftan for pain management because I have chronic back problems, but at a young age when I first went in for my back it was around 2007 and I saw a "pain management" doctor who i won't name drop here, suffice it to say, he did not treat me as he should have. He immediately prescribed me 120 vicodin a month. For almost 10 years. I had a lapse in insurance, couldn't afford the 150 dollars cash to see him so he cut me off just like that. In 2023 I hurt my back badly at work and haven't been able to work since. Ny options for pain were: the methadone clinic which I wanted nothing to do with considering I had successfully gotten clean through them and I had to go every day. Or I could take pills. Hard no. So now I see Dr. K and he prescribes precise and measured doses of suboxone to me and it helps immensely with my pain. The thing I like most about him is how nice and approachable he is. He's not one of those im a doctor shut up and dont talk, hes not one who just shrugs things you say off. You can talk to him and he talks back. He's got this way a out him that you just like.
