What patients say on Google

“I would not recommend Nicole Griffith based on my experience. I attempted to address these concerns directly with the office before leaving a review, but despite multiple calls and emails, I was unable to get a response beyond a voicemail callback that never led to further communication. Throughout my time as a patient, Nicole was consistently late to appointments, often starting sessions 5–10 minutes after the scheduled time. I communicated early on that punctuality was important to me, and while she acknowledged this and said she would improve, the pattern continued. I also felt that many conversations centered more around her being “career driven” rather than demonstrating genuine care and consistency in treatment. What became especially frustrating was the repeated back-and-forth regarding paperwork related to my medical leave. She initially encouraged me to consider taking leave from work, but then later stated she could not complete STD paperwork. Afterward, she agreed to provide documentation, but the note was completed incorrectly despite me giving very clear instructions verbally, by email, and by text. We even had a dedicated telehealth appointment specifically to complete FMLA/STD paperwork, yet the final document still contained errors. When I reached out before her vacation to request a correction so I could submit the paperwork to my employer on time, I received conflicting responses. At first, she told me she could not help and advised me to contact my PCP. Then she unexpectedly sent a “corrected” version, which was still inaccurate. This cycle repeated multiple times and significantly increased my anxiety during an already difficult period. Ultimately, I had to go through my PCP to resolve the issue. Another concern was the focus on scheduling and billing. After returning from vacation, Nicole reached out encouraging me to move up my next appointment. When I chose not to continue scheduling sessions, the tone of communication changed noticeably, and she informed me she would bill me separately for time spent working on paperwork outside of appointments. This felt inappropriate considering we had already scheduled and attended a specific appointment for that purpose. She also attempted to bill me outside of my insurance through a separate app. Most concerning of all was the lack of compassion during an extremely vulnerable time in my life. I was struggling with suicidal thoughts and experiencing a miscarriage, yet many interactions felt dismissive, stressful, and at times even hostile rather than supportive. This experience ultimately left me feeling unheard, unsupported, and emotionally worse off than when I started treatment. I also have text receipts of all of the interactions I had with Nicole if the office would like to see those.”

“I would give both the therapist and the platform/system they use zero stars if I could. I saw Jeniffer Prantera with my teenage son. Based on her background and experience, I believed she would be a good fit. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. During our interactions, I felt more questioned than supported, especially when I was simply trying to stay informed about my son’s care. I was also told I would need to pay an additional $50 just to receive an email update about my own son, which I found frustrating and unreasonable. In a sensitive family situation, I expected more professionalism, transparency, and a neutral approach.”

“I would give the therapist and the system/platform they use a zero if I could. I saw the therapist Jeniffer Prantera once before my teenager daughter had her first and only appointment with her. Which, for her background, I thought it was going to be a good fit. It was very unprofessional/unethical on her behalf, sharing personal information not just with me, but with my daughter. We had miscommunication regarding appointments. The therapist scheduled for the following weeks thinking that for sure my daughter would have appointments with her, but I didn’t confirm that information. I talk to my daughter first before scheduling to make sure she feel comfortable with the counselor. Anyway, after receiving a text on a Saturday saying that she has an appointment on Tuesday. I waited to cancel on Monday because YOU CANT CANCEL APPOINTMENTS THROUGH EMAIL, TEXT OR THEIR PORTAL like almost every single place that you make appointments. Because it was less than 48 hrs I had a charge of $50 usd. You have to have a card on file and the counselor is responsible for charging fees so the billing department cannot do anything about. Also, you have to call to the billing department for them to remove your card. I would not recommend this place at all.”

“So i emailed to inquire about becoming a new client. Was called back same day. I was pleasantly surprised. Speaking with the woman i explained that i had never done anything like this. I Would prefer in person because i didn’t like zoom idea but again had never done this, so was unsure. I believe she took that as i didn’t want to attempt anything .. told me to call my insurance company and they would tell me where to go. Total turn off ... maybe i wanted to pay cash? Maybe you were recommended? Did not make you feel like that person cared about anything other than payment. Unfortunately that is the only thing i have to go on now since that has and will be my only interaction with this company. This is probably why it’s so hard for people to reach out for help or guidance. If you chose to call i hope you have a better experience than I did.”
