How likely are you to recommend Grayson Psychiatry?
“My family attended a session with Dr. Grayson to reevaluate my 4-year old son's prior ASD diagnosis that he received earlier in the year from a different psychologist. She was incredibly warm and inviting to our family and spent a considerable amount of time with our son to fully assess his needs. She also consulted a variety of other professionals and my son's entire PT/OT/speech team to confirm a revised diagnosis of ADHD and sensory processing disorder, all in the span of a few days. She spent over an hour with us during an after-hours session to talk us through the test results, her findings, and recommendations. She couldn't have been any more accommodating to our family. Our son has been on a non-stimulant medication for only two short weeks, and in that time, there has been an absolute night and day difference in his behavior and wellbeing. It has been life changing for our family. He's attentive, is able to stay on task, and is generally more comfortable in his own skin. He also doesn't exhaust himself from constant stimming. He's told us he's happier and can't wait to go see his 'feelings doctor' again! I feel like my son has been given a chance at a relatively normal childhood, and we've already been able to engage in a variety of activities and outings that were previously too difficult or overstimulating for him. While we still have a long road ahead of us managing the ADHD and getting through various therapies, we're thrilled to have found such a fantastic doctor to help guide the way. For anyone newly reaching out for psychiatric care or who needs a second opinion - definitely consider Dr. Grayson for your little ones.”
“Dr Grayson is FABOULOUS. Our initial consultation was pleasant, warm, inviting, and thorough. Dr Grayson’s listening skills allowed her to hone-in on the root issues and focus her attention on our child’s critical issues. That thoroughness allowed our family to regain its normality incredibly quickly. While our situation is likely different than others, I believe Dr Grayson’s incredible abilities and critical listening skills will benefit many other children. We are so thankful.”
“I began seeing Jill Grayson in Jan '22. I’ve struggled severely with crippling social anxiety, generalized anxiety, OCD, and ADHD/ rejection sensitivity disorder. After trying 20 diff ADHD/Anxiety meds, that didn't help in the slightest, I found Nardil. I was prescribed Nardil from my psychiatrist, but I moved for work, so I couldn't see him regularly. My family and I were on the brink of giving up, until Nardil. I’ve been in an unlivable state due to extreme anxiety, it has taken the past 8 years away from me. My mom found Jill online, and spoke with her about the severity of my situation. She couldn't be more clear that I needed Nardil + stimulant, and Jill happily took me on. In reality, she could've/should’ve said "NO". Prior to starting treatment, Jill composed me a treatment plan and relayed to my mom she is comfortable and ready to help achieve remission. In Feb, things started to change; the 1st red flag that concerned my family and I was her lack of response via text. This doc gave me her number during our first session and told me to reach out if I ever needed anything. Jill wouldn’t respond to my messages, and if she did, she responded 3 days later with a rude/unhelpful response, this happened 5 times from Feb-May. These are situations where I need clarity from a psych, and she simply ignores me for days, while collecting $250 weekly for 10-15 min sessions. Last month, I started a new management role and was due for an Adderall refill, so I reach out to Jill, kindly requesting a refill and she gets back 72 hours later. My ADHD, again, is severe so I need to be able to pay attention/focus, especially while I’m training to manage others. On the morning of my first day, I’m forced to take my brothers Vyvanse (lowest dose 30mg). I took the Vyvanse for 2 days until Jill responded. She was mad I took Vyvanse, but was aware I need a stimulant to function properly. When I was forced to take Vyvanse, I noticed for the first time in my life, I was happy. No severe agitation, hyperactivity, impulsiveness, and I didn't get distracted during the day. My dad told Jill it was short of a miracle. I’ve been at a 10% stability level for the past 8 years, which is no way to live. After starting Nardil, my mental stability went from 10% to 55%, when combined with Adderall. Finally, on Vyvanse and Nardil, my mental stability increased from 55% to 90%. Recently, more red flags began going off regularly. Jill knew I was taking Vyvanse temp. when Adderall was unavailable, and when I expressed to her in great detail on why I've never felt better in my entire life. She became combative and told me “Connor are you taking the Vyvanse with out my permission, I DID NOT APPROVE THIS”. From the start, her concern was high BP levels on the stimulant and Nardil combo. On Adderall, my blood pressure was 160/105 and she was ok with that. On Vyvanse, it was 129/81. I signed a release form which removed her from ALL liability. I signed this without blinking, because all I've ever wanted in my life was to feel normal. Recently, I have proved repeatedly that Vyvanse + Nardil is WAY safer for me than the Nardil + Adderall. My personal relationships with my friends and esp. family is something I've never experienced before. Jill stated, she will not prescribe Vyvanse, but will continue prescribing the non safe alternative, Adderall. When asked about this, she stated ”Vyvanse is a prodrug” and added nothing else. This response flustered my Dad and I. This woman saw a dramatic improvement in my life on Vyvanse, and chose not to help me, while being extremely short and rude. She's 100% aware she had the ability to change my life, but instead always made my life 20x harder. It’s a hard situation to process mentally because Jill Grayson was the only person in my life that wasn’t happy, but upset when I achieved remission. I will never go back to this psych. My family and I felt my mental health was toyed with. My friends/family have cried tears of happiness because they've never thought I'd achieve remission, as I've lived a very sad and anxious life.”
“I have referred my patients’ family members to this practice. I continue to be grateful of the care that they receive. She has the important combination of knowledge and empathy. I appreciate having this resource for this community.”
