How likely are you to recommend Grand Falls Recovery - Missouri Addiction & Mental Health Rehab?
What patients say on Google
“I would give this place zero stars if I could. When I returned for a second stay, I was treated completely differently. On my first day back, I was sweating, shaking uncontrollably, vomiting throughout my room, and experiencing severe stomach pain. Despite there being a camera in my room, I felt like my condition was ignored. When I told the nurses how sick I was, I was told there was nothing they could do. I was also told I would not receive a withdrawal taper because, during intake, I supposedly reported drinking only four shots per day. I do not even remember saying that because I was intoxicated at the time. In reality, I typically drank around seven shots of 99-proof liquor daily, which has a very high alcohol content. The staff eventually told me I should go to the hospital because of my stomach pain. At the hospital, the doctor diagnosed me with alcohol-induced gastritis and severe alcohol withdrawal. I was given medication and a taper for the night, which helped significantly. However, when I was discharged and returned to Grand Falls Recovery, I was told that the charge nurse would not continue the taper. I did not feel safe, cared for, or taken seriously during my stay. Megan, the charge nurse, accused me of lying about my alcohol consumption just to receive Ativan, which is commonly used to help manage alcohol withdrawal symptoms. . During my previous stay, I was given a taper, and it made the withdrawal process much more manageable. The only staff member who made me feel comfortable and treated me with kindness was Kat. Although my two-day stay was extremely difficult, she helped calm me down and made the experience somewhat more bearable. Overall, I left feeling ignored, unsupported, and disappointed with the level of care I received. I will never return to Grand Falls Recovery, nor would I recommend it to anyone seeking help.”
“I feel like I’VE HIT THE JACKPOT with Tharina, Natasha and Dr. Lainie. The emotional support and knowledge about addiction that I have gained from these ladies has been life-changing. Each week, they continually educate us on the disease, as well as guide us on ways to interact and communicate with our addicted loved ones. My involvement in this group has made a profound difference in the way I now view my child’s battle to stay sober, not to mention my role as an enabler. Through the other group participants, I have also found comfort in their support, as well as a sense of relief knowing I’m not alone / my story isn’t unique. This group has become a life line for me, a life line I never asked for or would have ever imagined in my life, but one that I am BEYOND GRATEFUL FOR. If you are invited to participate because your loved one is battling an addiction, DO NOT PASS UP THIS GIFT.”
“Grand falls has been a life saving experience for me. I came to this facility scared, unsure of what I was doing, and unsure of what was wrong with me. Throughout the course of my month long stay, I became stronger and more understanding of who I was. By the end of it, I left feeling empowered, purposeful, and like I had been given a second chance at life. The staff at Grand Falls are incredible, and thats what makes all the difference. They really, truly care, and nearly all of them have been through this program or a similar program at least once, so they not only understand what the clients are going through, they can give the type of support you need. The therapist staff is top notch, and my therapist that I had while I was there was truly an angel that I believe single handedly made the biggest difference for me (I miss you Chris!) Anyone considering treatment for mental health or substance abuse needs to look no further than Grand Falls Center for Recovery.”
