What patients say on Google
“I visited Grace Health today due to symptoms that strongly resembled strep throat, and unfortunately my experience was frustrating and dismissive. To begin, the nurse took my basic vitals and noticed I had a slight fever. She asked a few quick questions about my symptoms, and I explained that I tend to experience the same symptoms each time I get sick, and that I had just been around someone who and still is sick. She then performed a throat swab, but during the process, she made a comment about me not having tonsils, which is incorrect, as I do still have my tonsils. The interaction felt very rushed, and before I could clarify that I did have tonsils, she told me the results would take five minutes and quickly left the room. In about 5 minutes, the doctor came in and told me my strep test was negative. I asked if it was possible to test negative while still having strep, as I have experienced that before, but she insisted that if you have strep, it will always show up on the test. She barely examined my throat before concluding that my symptoms were due to allergies. I have had seasonal allergies since childhood and, at 20 years old, I am very familiar with how they feel and this was not the same. When I brought up my concern about the blisters in my throat, she dismissed it as drainage from allergies. I have never experienced actual blisters from sinus issues, and this concern was not taken seriously. Instead, I was told the only option was to get prescribed Claritin-D or come back in a couple of days if I did not improve. Overall, both the nurse and doctor came across as rushed and dismissive of what I was trying to communicate about my own body. I left feeling unheard and treated more like a child than an adult capable of recognizing when something is wrong. While I understand that not every visit will result in a clear diagnosis, I expected a more thorough examination and a willingness to listen to my concerns.”
“I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They are always so kind and welcoming right from the beginning when scheduling on the phone. I’m pretty sure the woman was named Tia that helped me today, and she really made it all the more worth it. It can be hard to make these calls sometimes, but the kindness I received meant so much to me. 10/10 🙌🏻💜💜”
“I tried to give this place a try, and as a young woman I truly thought I was in good hands. Let me just tell you the nightmare I've had with this clinic. First issue was when I handed my prescription bottles to Whitney, my "doctor", and she still managed to give me the incorrect prescription. It was a newer prescription so I didn't notice until a few weeks in and AGONIZING pain from withdrawals I didn't know I was having. I called, and they FINALLY prescribed the correct medicine. Of course they sent the prescription to their pharmacy, which I do not use and is on record what pharmacy i do use, mind you. So then I had to call again to fix their mistake and furthering the process of receiving my medication. I ended up switched doctors in the same building to Chelsea. Well, first thing she did when seeing me for my refill check up, PRESCRIBED THE SAME EXACT WRONG MEDICATION AS WHITNEY. Needless to say I was ready to blow my top!!! i had an incident where I couldn't walk due to my mystery disability. I was told they were going to send me to a rheumatologist -my husband was present for that- .They finally called me for my blood work, and then told me it was all good even though my ANA was high. Said I could just "Follow up with Chelsea" and the doctor "Sam" who overseas the PNs there, someone you NEVER MEET, said my blood work was fine. I went off the handle! I told them that if Chelsea isn't even the doctor who reviews my blood work, why in the world would I want to see her for something as serious as an inflammatory marker being high?! I told them I don't care if they send me to a rheumatologist because I'm going to a new PCP office and they will send me. I got a call a day or so later with an appointment in 2 weeks with a rheumatologist in UK hospital. They did blood work and I've seen them once and I'm already being sent to an endocrinologist because I have Hashimotos disease/SLE! And they were just going to let Chelsea Oakes, a nurse that couldn't even get my medication right with the bottle in her hand take care of me! I definitely would have died if I didn't care about my health and wellbeing. They tried talking me into seeing another one of their fake doctors and I flat out refused! 0/10 I wouldn't send a corpse there let alone someone breathing.”
“Waited a half hour after my appointment time before the PA showed up, despite having one of the first appointment slots in the morning. It was then a quick 10 minute visit as she talked really fast, barely looked at the thing I was seeing her for, and quickly prescribed me antibiotics without asking me many questions about the issue I was having. I asked her as many questions as I could, but it was clear she was trying to rush me out of there. Not a very thorough or thoughtful examination. Also, the guy answering the phone in the evenings (after the office closes) is useless. I had talked to the front desk lady earlier in the day who was helpful in explaining what openings they had over the next few days. When I called back later and it was the guy that answered, he was trying to start my chart and ask for my SSN without answering my questions about making an appointment, and told me they do walk-ins and I didn’t need an appointment. The only reason I didn’t give this place one star is because the lady at the front desk is very nice and helpful.”
