What patients say on Google

“I have been a patient with GPW for about a year. The doctors themselves have been helpful and professional. Unfortunately, the experience outside of the actual medical care has been consistently disorganized and frustrating. I have been on the same medication for a year and typically have virtual appointments. Recently, I was told during a virtual visit to stop by the Mooresville location at my convenience to drop off a drug screen so my prescription could be refilled. That seemed simple enough. However, I went to the Mooresville office multiple times on different days and each time the door was locked with no one there. I assumed it was just bad timing and gave them the benefit of the doubt. After several failed attempts, I called GPW and was told that location is closed due to the doctor being on maternity leave, with no clear timeline for reopening. This was especially frustrating because the office was already closed prior to my appointment, yet I was still instructed to go there. At that point, I was told I would need to go to LabCorp and pay out of pocket for a drug test. This makes no sense given that I already paid for my visit and was explicitly told I could just drop off a sample at their office and the prescription would be sent immediately after. Now I am being asked to pay again for something that should have been handled internally. The next closest GPW location is hours away. As of Friday afternoon, I still do not have my medication and have now spent over 45 minutes on the phone again today, after already dealing with this previously, with no resolution beyond “we’ll call you back.” This is not an isolated incident. Even getting the original virtual appointment was a problem. I paid the copay through the link they sent, joined the Zoom call, and waited 45 minutes. I then called and was told something went wrong and the doctor had already moved on to the next patient. I then spent several hours trying to get rescheduled. When I was finally sent a new link, it asked me to pay another copay before I could even enter the appointment. Because of that, I missed the scheduled time again and had to call back and spend another hour resolving it. Eventually I spoke with a doctor for about five minutes, only to be told to complete the drug screen that has now turned into another unresolved issue. Overall, this has been a pattern of poor coordination, lack of communication, and zero accountability. I have had to repeatedly spend my own time fixing problems that should not exist in the first place, just to maintain access to medication I have been stable on for over a year. The medical care itself may be fine, but the operational side of this practice is extremely disorganized and makes it very difficult to rely on them for consistent care.”

“You know GPW cares from the moment you walk in. The staff is warm and non-judgmental. The space is bright and uplifting. They offer the newest alternatives and best treatment choices. The team helps you find confidence in yourself to meet the goals you created. Everyone should check out Gupta Psychiatry!”

“My experience with GPW psychiatry was not good. Jenna Garcia was my psychiatrist. I gave a full comprehensive medical background of all of my psychiatric treatments in the past including the 3 medications that I currently have been taking for 5 years consistently that work well to manage my mental health. One of the medications, being Xanax, I recently ran out of after losing my previous doctor. I have been on this medication for 4 years successfully with no issues. After speaking with Jenna, she did not want to prescribe this medication to me & instead recommended trying a past medication I had already taken with no results, but just at a higher dosage. My mental health is very important to me and if I have an established medication routine that has proven successful for me, changing those to something proven unsuccessful is very counterproductive to a treatment plan & not very good psychiatric care in my opinion. I highly recommend NOT going to this psychiatric treatment facility!”

“AVOID at all costs. HORRIBLE ! I have never been so disappointed in a "Dr" office in my life. Front desk female is dressed like she going to a sleepover and seemed incredibly annoyed that I came in for my appointment. The provider, "didn't feel like coming in" the office today and I was offered a virtual appointment instead. NOW- this appointment was going to cost me $270 IN ADDITION TO the $500 my insurance was covering for a single hr long appointment. This same charge was asked for regardless of whether the provider felt like showing up or not. I spoke with a representative 40 MINUTES prior to my appointment and she never said anything to me about any change in my appointment. My provider asked for feedback following these appointments so he can guide his other patients. I am going to make it a personal mission to tell everyone I can to AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs. Also- the office will call you back to back multiple times a day, even on THE WEEKEND to perform their "intake questionnaire". So incredibly unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE.”
