What patients say on Google
“I’m so surprised to see the negative reviews. I was transported to Good Samaritan, Suffern NY after a cardiac catheterization found major blockages and I needed a triple bypass. I was moved to the CVICU at Good Samaritan, there the first night my nurse stayed with me in the room most of the night. She wheeled her workstation in and just camped out. Who does that? It’s a small ward only five beds. There was always a nurse and PA right there. My surgeon and PA stopped by to talk and kind of hang out and answer questions and offer explanations more than once. I even commented to the surgeon before surgery that I was severely well briefed by the staff on what to expect. If you have any concerns about the Cardiac care at GS, rest assured the group is a model of how it should be done. My nurses were all veteran care givers who were doing this for many years or even decades. Super professional, very kind people. Kudos to the Good Samaritan Cardiac unit.”
“Rutz in the emergency room deserves a 100% raise—without a doubt. It was very clear that tonight was an absolutely insane night at the hospital, and I came in for something that wasn’t super urgent. Despite how busy and overwhelming things clearly were, the kindness, encouragement, patience, and genuine care I received were beyond anything I could have expected. Both Rutz and Kristine took so much time with me. They listened, made me laugh, made me feel comfortable, and never once made me feel like I was inconveniencing them—even during what was clearly an incredibly hectic shift. It’s easy to recognize good care when everything is calm, but the way they treated me during such a chaotic night says so much about the kind of people they are and the level of care they provide. I left feeling genuinely grateful and cared for, and I truly can’t thank them enough. Healthcare workers like Rutz and Kristine deserve so much recognition and appreciation. They went above and beyond, and I hope their supervisors know just how valuable they are. Thank you both so so much!”
“I had a great experience staying at this hospital while giving birth. I can’t fully describe how grateful I am to have had such wonderful nurses helping me through the process. As a first-time mom, I felt very scared and worried for both my baby and myself but they made me feel safe and comfortable every step of the way. Miriam was by my side throughout my delivery, constantly supporting me and explaining everything so clearly, which helped ease my fears. Afterward, Linda took such great care of me during recovery, making sure I had everything I needed and continuing to explain things so I felt confident and at ease. I am truly grateful to have had them there with me during such an important moment in my life.”
“I must acknowledge Lee and Sean for being so genuinely caring for my dad today at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY Emergency Room. They not only gave him excellent care, but they were gentle, supportive, caring and so caring to me as well! I always go here when I need an Emergency Room because they are always attentive, quick to bring you to a room, triage, test and treat. They were so good with my dad today and I am eternally grateful. Their care is what every patient needs. Lee has a gentle and passionate soul. They are amazing!”
