“I have never left a review before, but after my experience with Godwin Psychiatry, I felt it was important to share. I originally learned about this practice through family friends, who spoke highly of Dr. Godwin and her PA, Jennifer. However, I was instead assigned to a provider named Allison Paugh, who was not listed on the practice’s website and was unfamiliar to those who recommended the office. Unfortunately, my experience with her was not positive. The treatment plan I was given quickly fell through, and when I reached out for help—both through the on-call service and the patient portal—I did not receive any response. This left me without guidance during a time when I truly needed support. The following week, I spoke with the office manager, and communication issues continued. I explained that I might not be stable enough to come into the office, yet an appointment was scheduled anyway without confirming with me directly. I only became aware of it through an email notification. When I tried to address these concerns, the conversation became defensive rather than solution-focused, which made the situation more frustrating. Based on what I’ve heard, the other providers at the practice may be good. However, due to the lack of communication, professionalism, and follow-up I experienced—especially during a time when timely support was critical—I cannot recommend this office, and Allison Paugh, especially if you are in need of immediate assistance.”

“The office and staff are great but the scheduling of patients at the same time knowing good and well you can’t see them on time and after waiting over an hour every time I go is not helping my situation it only makes me agitated which is not good when you already have anxiety issues. Bad issues.. maybe try to say Barbara I know it’s not been easy and I’m sorry I add to your frustrations just recognize your patients time is also valuable and we also have other obligations besides waiting two hours for one ten min appointment.”

From my first call, the receptionist was professional, kind, and informative, making me feel welcomed. While I experienced a lengthy wait for my initial appointment, it was well worth it. Dr. Godwin took her time, listened to my concerns, and thoroughly discussed treatment options to create a personalized plan. I truly felt like her only patient—she never rushed me. Her compassion and expertise, along with her caring staff, make every visit exceptional. I’m thrilled with my decision to choose Dr. Godwin and highly recommend her for top-notch care!”
