“I normally try to be understanding when it comes to billing issues because mistakes can happen, but the experience we’ve had with Geode in partnership with Baylor Health has been beyond frustrating. We were somehow double charged even though our HRA had already processed and paid the balance, and getting anyone to actually help resolve the issue has felt impossible. The biggest issue has been the complete lack of communication from the billing department. We spent over an hour trying to get ahold of someone with no response, no callback, and no answers. For a company tied to healthcare and patient services, this level of inaccessibility is honestly unacceptable. Patients should not have to waste hours of their day just trying to speak with a real person. What makes it even more frustrating is that billing errors directly affect people financially and create unnecessary stress. When patients are overcharged, there should be an efficient and responsive system in place to correct it quickly. Instead, it feels like there is no urgency or accountability whatsoever. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because this experience has completely damaged our confidence in the billing side of the organization. Good patient care doesn’t stop once you leave the appointment it also includes transparency, responsiveness, and professionalism when handling billing concerns. Right now, that standard is not being met at all.”
