“My mom found me this facility when I was in the midst of the worst depressive episode of my life. One phone call was all it took to get me set up with 3 different services: Therapy, Psychiatry, and TMS. The process was so easy, they handled everything with such care and attention that it was the least stressful thing I ever dealt with. I was nervous and hesitant about TMS. I’ve done research on it and was just doubtful that anything would work for me as I’ve had depression for 10+ years. My first TMS appointment, I met my coordinator Mackenzie. She walked me through the process and allowed me to ask my million and one questions. I also got a chance to speak with Dr. A that day about any concerns. 36 sessions of TMS over the span of 2 ish months. Mackenzie was such an experienced TMS coordinator. I felt so unbelievable comfortable around her. Spending everyday for almost two months with someone, you want to feel safe and taken care of; and she did just that. Not only did she remain at tentative to the treatment as I was receiving it, but we engaged in conversation that only made the experience more comfortable. While I remain here at Geode Health for therapy and psychiatry, finishing my last TMS appointment today felt bittersweet. I truly believe TMS saved me, in ways that medication and therapy hasn’t helped before. I am able to redirect my thoughts easier, I’m going out again, I’m exploring the city solo, I’m rediscovering myself without all the negative self talk. I don’t think this would be the case without TMS. Though one is never done healing, this thrusted me onto a path I never saw myself reaching. “The TMS department at Geode Health in Flower Mound is exceptional! I couldn’t recommend the TMS treatment more. Just halfway through the process I could see a noticeable difference in my depression and cognitive impairments. At the completion of my full process, I can tell my baseline is significantly at Geode really stole the , Mackenzie Black, made my experience even more fulfilling and beneficial. She’s incredible skilled operating the Nexstim unit: gentle, precise, and efficient. I was even able to watch Mackenzie provide some walkthroughs and training to others. Couldn’t be a better technician to train on this unit out there! Most importantly Mackenzie elevated my experience. The total process involves daily treatments for 36 sessions. Mackenzie’s friendliness and ability to operate the unit while engaging in wonderful conversations each time made my TMS appointments the best part of each day. Her optimism, relatability, and genuine human connection made my experience immeasurably valuable and wonderful. The only disappointment I have… coming to the end of my sessions, knowing I won’t be able to experience our wonderful daily chats anymore.
