“Our experience is poor. The counselor can cancel appointments morning of, but when you cancel a 3pm appointment at 9 am you still get charged the full amount. (Many other places in Healthcare field may charge a small $25 fee for completely missing an appt, but none if you call same day in advance). You’re expected to know 24 hours in advance if something will come up, but when the counselor has something come up that’s quite alright. They don’t take our CHIP insurance and although supposedly have sliding fee, still charge full amount.”
“My experience at GVP was very positive. It's clear the clinician I worked with was very well-trained, knowledgeable, committed to evidence-based practice, and took a collaborative approach. I got very much out of time as a client here. And, the team also helped refer me elsewhere upon moving out of state, which was very much appreciated.”
“I have had a wonderful experience with the team at GVP, and I was thrilled to find such an incredible, high-quality practice right here in Rochester. The team is professional and very modern in their approach. Even with their high level of expertise, the people I've met and worked with all seem to have a growth mindset and pursue continuing education and opportunities to bring the latest research and observations in their fields back to the office, which is of huge benefit to their patients. You can trust you're always getting the most up-to-date methods and information as part of your treatment plan. I'm happy to share my experience here, to normalize the pursuit of mental, emotional and physical wellness - the professional, empathetic and truly actionable support I've received from GVP has been the best gift to myself.”
“Took almost 5 months to get set up with a therapist. I had a job change a few days before my appointment. so I let them know they said it was still okay. I missed my appointment by about 15 mins due to starting a new job and not having service. I called the therapist back after she left a voicemail and she said it’s okay we will just reschedule. So I did thinking everything is okay. A few days later I look at my bank account and they took $175 out of it. I never authorized nor was informed that this was going to happen. I called the therapist right awaythe and she said well insurance will reimburse it and gave me a number to call billing. The billing lady said no they don’t. So I called the therapist back and she said I was under the impression that they do but I guess not and I understand how frustrating this is but we can’t reimburse you. Never again will I use these people nor will I refer anywhere here.”
