How likely are you to recommend Geisinger Scenery Park?
“They charge a facility fee which was over $1000 for my visit, on top of the doctor's exam and procedure charges. They can get away with it because of the pile of consent paperwork you sign online before check in, which makes it the patient's responsibility to check the pricing of every possible thing the visit could include, instead of them providing actual customer service to give you the possible prices ahead of time. The doctor was great, and I thought about giving this a 2 star review because the medical practitioners were fine. But the way Geisingser goes about charging a facility fee and get away with it by blaming the patient for not knowing better is just so shady.”
“If I could give 0 starts to this doctor's office, I would. The staff were friendly enough, but each time I visited this provider over the past 3 years there was some sort of problem that I had to deal with. Billing and insurance was so problematic that I had to get the company that I worked for involved to mitigate the the issues with billing and what I was being charged. Additionally, I most recently went for a dermatology check-up because I have a history of skin cancer. First of all, it took over a year to get this appointment scheduled and it was rescheduled 3 times. They saw me for about 10 minutes, barely did a skin check, and did not have solid answers to any of my questions. I was charged over $400 for this appointment. At that same visit, I asked to get a flu shot, and a separate bill then came for $455 for that visit. While my insurance covered the shot, I was still charged over $121 for the visit itself (even though I was already there and they offered a flu shot without giving me this information). I would seriously reconsider a different doctor.”
“If I could give 0 stars I would. I've never had an issue with geisinger before today. Made an appointment for a dermatologist at 10:45AM. Didn't make it in until exactly 11:00AM because of terrible traffic. I even attempted to call and tell them that I would be a bit late but alas can't get anyone to answer the phone when you need someone. I was told the doctor would not see me and I'd need to reschedule. Seriously! After 15min? This is especially ridiculous to me when I've waited many times over 15 minutes to get in to see a doctor. I'm loving the double standards here. I was then told I could be seen at 3PM. Yeah sure I am gonna wait around for 4 hours on a school day. No thank you.”
“Tried to reschedule an appointment. The phone tree was awful. It kept leading me to a woman speaking Spanish and then hung up when I did not respond.”
