What patients say on Google

“I caught them talking out loud behind my back before I even exited the building the first time I let my counselor. They are just a state funded group that does the states wishes. They don’t take into account personal stuff or mental health at all. Just see the numbers of their test results and treat to mass amounts of people who get caught drinking or with weed and get screwed by the courts. Depending on how long your insurance will pay is how long your treatment will be. Medicare people, you will be there for 6+ months. They will use any leverage against you to make you do more days a week. If the classes fill they will give you one day less a week. The counselors are awful, just very poorly trained ex drug addicts. The one group leader went off on a pro Tump rant and lost total respect and control of the group. Basically the counselors hate doing group sessions there. People argue all the time during groups. I heard each different group leader say on separate occasions "I don't wanna do group today." We would usually end up talking about food for an hour. What a waste of my time. How do you expect to help people like this? A complete an utter failure of a rehab facility. This places causes more stress and teaches false information. It's insanity. A money making place for the state and that's all it's good for. Which means it's no good at all. i recommend Pathways in West Chester, the staff is 1000x better. Only good person at Gaudenzia is the secretary. UPDATE: The head counselor contacted the county office and used information to try to get me in more trouble during court. Tony is his name and screwing people is his game.”

“It's a shame that when your trying to turn your life around the counselors that are in place to help you do the opposite. I recently started a new job and communicated that about 4-5 days prior to me starting my job. I asked were there evening groups I could attend because the groups were helpful however I wouldn't be able to attend morning groups. After 5-6 unanswered emails I received notice that these same people were contacting my Probation officer as well as my case worker making it like I just wasn't being compliant, which wasn't the case. I am now searching for help elsewhere due to the unprofessional experience I've had. I hope others get a better experience.”

“One of the counselors Shannon was doing well with my husband. He worked with him for over a year and then out of the blue made a 360 and was not understanding anything he had to say. My husband was unable to attend one meeting due to work. He could not leave without another person coming to relieve him. He called his counselor, he didn't pick up and he left a message. He didn't get a call back. Another week the weather was horrible and traffic was backed up. He called his counselor again and left a message that he'd be running a couple of minutes late. Guess what the counselor did??? He told him he had to start over a year worth of work because he was not showing up and he was coming in late!!! All these factors that made my husband late and not able to show up for only two sessions were beyond his control. And then people wonder how people stay in this cycle and relapse, it's because of the counselors. I swear they try to keep people in their programs. It was a demotivation factor for my husband. He really wanted to quit. Because how could a person base unforeseen circumstances on a year worth of work???? I truly was infuriated by the conduct of this counselor. I hope he does not do the same to a person who doesn't have a support system to help him through. I'm sure if my husband had no one he would have given up and who knows what kind of trouble that would get him just because of one person who doesn't take people's circumstances into consideration.”

“Had an appointment by phone and was rudely told that it was switched to in person. When I called to find out why I hadn't received a call I was rudely handled by Desiree the director of the program. She then told me if I wanted to complain to Google the HR number to complain... AND GUESS WHAT DESIREE.... I DID JUST THAT .. I WILL POST AFTER THEY SPEAK WITH HER OFFICE. YOU CAN'T TREAT US ALL LIKE WE STILL USING DRUGS SOME OF US WERE EDUCATED DURING OUR USAGE SO WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO FOLLOW UP AND HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE!!!!!!!!!!”
